Ok, this is gonna be kinda weird. I made this clay model of one of the sinken ships in the Ship Graveyard from V, but I don't know which photographed angle I want to submit. So, I'm going to have a poll for it. So mods, the next time you update Fanart, choose the image with the most votes.
Number One: [http://darkpaladin.sphosting.com/ShipSide.JPG] Number Two: [http://darkpaladin.sphosting.com/ShipAerial.JPG] Number Three: [http://darkpaladin.sphosting.com/ShipFront.JPG] Thumbnail: [http://darkpaladin.sphosting.com/ShipThumb.JPG] Media Used: Clay & Glaze Comments: Weird Story. This began as a normal pirate ship. It took me forever until I got it perfect (without the cannons I originally wanted). It was very cool. The water rising up in the front made it look like it was cruising through the water. A few days later, after it dried, I took it off the storage shelf so I could sponge it. It wasn't very secure, and the ship fell off the water and onto the floor and broke. I almost passed out. After all the work I spent on it, I dropped it and broke it. I was about to thow it out until I took a good look at it, and it looked even cooler. So here we are. File Size of the Large Image: 612x462; 4 inches high; 5.25 inches from bow to stern. #1 = 61.99 kb #2 = 69.342 kb #3 = 50.982 kb Here's the "just because" pic: [http://darkpaladin.sphosting.com/ShipCar.JPG] This post has been edited by Dark Paladin on 30th November 2005 16:20 -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

I'm going with #1. Its good and looks like a leaky old ship barely floating in the water.
#3 is good too, but from that angle its kind of hard to tell its a boat. I like the way the water looks. Is that just a result of the glazing? -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

#1 makes your sculpture look more like a ship, but less like it's haunted.
#2 doesn't look that good (except with a ???* on it). #3 makes your sculpture look more haunting, but less like it's a ship. Make your pick. (I slightly prefer #3 over #1.) *Take a look at the "just because" pic... Sorry to hear that all your work into making a pirate ship went into make a haunted ship. But I guess that goes along with the story, in a way...? Quote (Rujuken @ 20th February 2004 21:04) I like the way the water looks. Is that just a result of the glazing? Yes, it's just from glazing. The blue is really difficult to work with, as shown by the shield in my Link model. The slightest difference in the coat's thickness can mean the difference from very dark Blue and almost white. It's cool like that because the white spots almost seem like foam. My instructor also pointed out the rough spots on the side of the ship, which are difficult to find without having it in your hands, are kind of like things growin on its hull. Guess the flash was too bright at that angle -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

I like ShipAerial best, but ShipSide is also good.
