More job classes (14, and 3 special) for the game FFX-2 have been revealed, and are as follows:

Thief
Warrior
Singer
White Mage
Black Mage
Trainer
Dark Gunner
Dark Knight
Gambler
Alchemist
Berserker
Samurai
Mascot
Floral Fallah (For Yuna only)
Machina Muzzle (For Rikku only)
Full Throttle (For Paine only)

Further descriptions, and convenient pictures, can be found at RPGamer

My personal favourites here are Dark Knight and Samurai. Although there has been much complaining and anxiety over this new job system, I'm looking forward to it.

Full Throttle and Machina Muzzle look like a return of the Magi-Tech status.

Yay! They brought the Dark Knight back! Now to wait for the Paladin's return.
(Although this does take a shot at Cecil's uniqueness within the series)

What are the jobs that only Europe's getting?

I personally like Samurai, Floral Fallah, and Full Throttle. Samurai looks really cool, Floral Fallah looks like something Elton John would have worn back in the 70's laugh.gif , and Full Throttle just looks coooool.

So I get the impression that this is just a 3 character game then? Weak. Even if there are other characters, what's the point of using them? You'd be missing out on the main three you're "supposed" to use. That's how it seems they made it to me at least.

And one by one I watched every constellation die
And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard
Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star
I should've known, walked all the way home
To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone

FFI, FFIII, and FFV didn't have more characters than the party could hold, and they were alright. user posted image

At this point, I don't really like the inclusion of the unique job classes because speculation leads me to believe that they're going to be the "ultimate" job classes or something to that effect. FFT sorta had them for its unique characters, such as Holy Knight and Divine Knight, but you could choose to use generic people where customization was much more up to the user. I really don't think FFX-2 is going to have a soldier office to recruit random people to join you, and though the user will have the final say on which jobs their characters will have, something insanely powerful is going to be a bit more tempting than something so-so. I know I was always really reluctant to take Agrias off of any job that couldn't equip swords so she could always use her uber abilities, and it'll probably be the same way if Floral Fallah's power is much higher than the other classes.

Also, I'm a little leery of "The job called "Item Shooter" in Japan is forced to tone itself down for North America." Dunno if that means they had to change its name because omfg guns are bad, or if the abilities have been toned down for us.

Well, they sure look cool, especially Dark Knight, but I'm mostly curious about how much the characters can retain the attributes while they're not using the class they learned. I loved the job system in FF5 and I hope we get to customize the living daylights out of our FFX2 characters.

Get me off this Disciplinary Committee so I can play any FF except for FF8!!!

We need, emphasize need high-res shots of these job classes. This is the first Nomura art since FF7 that I have been excited about - it's actually got an interesting design to it!

even i'm begginign to see Karasumans point!

thats worse than Christina Agorrila ohmy.gif , or however you spell her name....

anyway, poor jokes aside, the artwork is nice... and soem of these jobs seem very good.
But the three-character, all female things a tad sexist, no?
but at least the Sunday Mail (see explaination) has a good filler story soon, that'll give Rosie Kane (ditto) something to bleat about after the GM crop debate subsides... im going to e-mail her now, bye.

(Explaination for everybody: The Sunday Mail is a Scottish sunday paper. It resorts to using stories about controversy in videogames occasioanlly, and often fails to research the game first. They did an article on GTA 3 a few years back, and said it was a 'Scandal' that you could kill a Prostitute in the game... five months after it was released.
Rosie Kane is a Socialist MSP. Shes a bit thick. Writes an article in the Mail.Unsurprisingly got elected by Proportional Representation system.)

Yeah, the White Mage and Dark Knight ones are slutty as all get-out.

wub.gif sarcasm and wub.gif rikku mascot. hey rangers, think you can get us some x-2 avatars? yeah there are a few jobs which have the girls in less-than-"decent" clothing, but this is a game by males, for (primarily) males. and the 'practicality of dress' argument simply doesn't hold the liquid of your choice.

to be on topic, the internation version is getting additional content and 2 new jobs: psychicceer which from what i gather makes your characters like earthbound ppl or whatever (i.e. using psychic skills, go figure), and one which has not been released yet -- this job is, i believe, a fan-submitted job on the winner of a contest in the ultimania.

the job system is not tedious at all and in fact if you enjoy job systems and liked the sphere grid you should LOVE this system. plus the battles are FUN FUN FUN.

neal, that shit scares me too -- i certianly hope we are not being deprived of even MORE content/graphics mad.gif and while the unique jobs are decidedly unbalanced in power (giving access to break hp and damage limit), you probably won't find yourself favouring them significantly over others, because of certain restrictions that MIGHT be spoilers
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
that you can only use that character while you are in that dress, i.e., you get in flora forral and rikku and pain disappear, and to get that dress you have to change into other jobs before
and because so many of the jobs are so useful/fun to play. the fast-paced battle system (not to mention the fact that you can change outfits in battle) means that you won't be stuck on just one job very often at all. plus, you have to do MYRIADS of side-stuff just to access those dresses and abilities.

this is the first final fantasy to actually piss me off in a long time thanks to square's wonderful x-2 international administrative decisions, as if they couln't learn from botching up ffx int (ffviii's pocketstation fiasco was the last), but it's also too hard to hate. square's artists just get better and better and better, and goz == graphics whore smile.gif.

Doooooooooood, you don't know the half of it. You should see Yuna's victory pose as a dark knight. Seriously.
While we're on that topic, you should see Rikku die at all.
There's no question X2 is very fanservicy. It's still pretty fun, however.

I found my choice group to be dark knight, berserker, and alchemist. Alchemists can use Rikku's "mix" from X whenever they feel like it, and they can use certain items without decresing their stock. This includes Mega potions, X potions, Mega Pheonix, Ethers, and Elixers.

Darkness is insanely powerful and ignores defence. Plus dark knights can cast black sky, which is essentially "meteor" in X2. Other plays can make moves while meteor, so a berserk Rikku can smack enemies in the middle of the attack for even more insane damage than usual.

Using that stragey I beat the last boss in 2 rounds =)

hey ive beaten it and the special speheres suk major balls....the only team u need to beat it like i have is Yuna as alchemist using a mixture of high and regular potions and rikku and paine (not pain guys) as drak knights using darkness since it just takes hp when u mix the hi and reg. potions it makes a mega potion healing everyone 2000 hp so trust me at even lvl 65 i beat the game without worry.....the only boss i had trouble on was Angra Manyu but he was easy when i started using the alchemist

lastly who cares about how slutty the costumes r isnt this game supposed to appeal to men (they are almost ALL slutty costumes like paines Full Throttle)
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
if u get to chapter 2 there is a scene at one of the last missions when ur following a leblanc chick and they go to a hot spring...if u go up the mountain and go to a viewing point the rock falls in the girls get scared off and then Y.R.P. get into BIKINIS and thats even more sexual then anything else in the game (boob references galore)

thats my 2 cents and let me no how that team works out against
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
vegnagun
ok??
