You ever start drawing something and you just can't stand how the thing is turning out? Damn, I was getting so pissed with myself while I was drawing this thing. I think I need to break down and take some drawing classes er something.

Manga Celes

I admit I did start liking it a lot better once I inked this drawing though. But I was using a new pen and the ink would smear when I used my colored pencils on it.
BAKA!!!
I also think I made her shoulders too broad and her hips too narrow.

Oh well...I've got some pens that won't smear now, and I think it turned out okay despite the ink problem and my severe lack of knowledge of the female anatomy.

I've always thought Celes to be sort of a sad individual so I tried to make her have a somber expression even when she is smiling. I also tried to give her hair a golden blonde color but the ink got in the way of that.

Dude, that's awesome. Aside from what you mentioned, I can't find anything wrong with it. Complete and total sweetness. I like your style of manga; it really appeals to me.

The only problem is that I don't see more yet! I demand more!
I know you didn't ask, but my suggestion for your next would be Edgar. THAT would be awesome, too.

I also have a plan to do a small little comedy manga that I think I'll put in the middle or at the end of the Magitek Facotry manga I'm gonna do.

I think I'm going to call it--Womanizing with Edgar--(not sure about the title. Suggestions?)

It will involve Edgar, Gau, Sabin, and a random female character that Edgar will be hitting on. I already have the dialogue worked out I just need to draw it. I think I'll use a chibi form for this comical part.

Edgar will be instructing the reader on how to get women to go out with you. And he will be demonstrating his technique on the female character. Gau will cause a comical interruption because he is excited that he has learned a new Rage. And Sabin will come in and drag Gau out kicking and complaining.

Thats a water down version of it. I don't want to spoil it on the off chance that it actually will make someone laugh.

And I was thinking about doing some magitek armor next but since I'm kind of partial to suggestions I'll give Edgar a try.

Really well done :-) She looks so sad, too, as though she's thinking about the things she did as General and regretting them.

My only crit is that her eyes look just a little too far apart in the full-sized pic. But it's just barely.

Quite nice, and has that unusual look on her face that I've never seen anywhere else. <--that is very original. And I like the profile you drew MUCH MORE than the original status portrait.

Well, first of all, very nicely done, Rujuken. I agree with Elena, the eyes are too far apart in the full-size drawing. Another small flaw was, forgive me if this is a bit perverted, but her boobs in the bottom picture. They are too...circular. On the left breast, just move the line a bit upwards instead of curving it inwards. Otherwise, keep it up!

Well, stumbled upon this fabulous-looking website, so, here it goes!

Rujuken...excellent artist. I like your approach towards creating your drawings a bit cartoony. It really makes you feel as if that character is 3D the way you draw them. They are very smooth and well-drawn. From a critic's point of view, however, you do have some faults. Her eyes in the left picture are far apart, as Elena99 said. And, though it be a bit strange, her left breast resembles an orange, as MaskedAnarchy said. I hope to see more from you and your fantastic abilities as an artist. I would scan a few of my own drawings but I do not own a scanner. Perhaps the library, hmm? Anyways, not to stray off-topic, lovely drawing of Celes, Rujuken.

yes, yes I know her boobies aren't that well done. But thanks to everyone for pointing out the flaws. I try and remember this stuff so I don't make the same mistakes consistently, but sometimes I just miss something.
