OK, I'm wondering what is up with Edgar's Air Anchor. It just makes no sense to me. I can't make out what he's holding, what he shoots, or why it does what it does...
Possible spoilers: highlight to view ...it will kill the enemy when the enemy next tries to attack Cna anyone shed some light on this topic, please? -------------------- Wow. 1,000 posts. I miss you all now that I'm in boarding school! ;_; |

From CoN:
"Fires anchors at all enemies. Any enemies hit are instantly killed upon their next action. Use with the "Tools" command." The next move the enemy makes, it dies. |

Looks like one of those whipper things that you would use to stir cake mix or something
![]() These is no technical explanation of how it kills, so you just have to except that it does what it does. I don't know maybe its like a motion detector bomb or something. Yeah that sounds about right. Edgar does say "Move and you're toast" doesn't he? -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

He actually says, "Move, and you're dust!". But an egg-beater sounds like an acurate description of how it looks.

Does seem like an egg-beater
![]() But I always just considered it like a large weight in a spring gun. This post has been edited by Max on 2nd February 2004 20:46 -------------------- Yeah, I barely post. |

i always figured it tied an anchor around an enemies neck and when they tried to move, it ripped their head off.

It looks like an anchor to me. Not the kind with the prongs that curve upward, that's tattoed to Popeye's forearm, but a real anchor.
As far as how it kills... think of how anchors mess up coral reefs. -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

DisasterChild8, good point. I haven't thought of that before. Otherwise, somebody please add this to the "absurd weapons" list. I personally haven't figured it out.

for some reason, I assumed it was the airship's anchor. If the enemy moved the airship would take off and rip it's head off or something...lol
