Aquaman, bad....ugh...terreble game. I saw a review of it and nearly tossed my cookies. What's that game called that was a cheap armegeddon knock-off of GTA?

here's my list,
1. Pokemon snap - I rather catch the pokemon, not snap stupied pictures at them and show them to oak. there are pokemon games that are much better then this one. all of the other pokemon games are fine. 2. Reign if fire - it didn't take me long enough to hate this game, I rather be doing things by myself rather then following orders and drive in some stupied battle car) 3. Final Fantasy8. boring 4. any Tony Hock skatborading. I rather stick to action packed games then this. 5. Resident evil: director's cut- 3 reasons 1. I'm not really into bloody stuff that much. 2. I had a hard time with the controls, 3. monsters don't come back after re entering the room This post has been edited by Mewmon on 6th December 2004 02:07 |

Quest64. How I managed to play all the way through it is beyond me. The battle system was unique but weird, some of the bosses were ridiculously overpowered, and the final boss was so easy it was pathetic. Oh, and the ending reminded me of the types of endings you usually see on old NES RPGs, which is pathetic for something at the time Quest64 was made.

First off, I loved FFX2 and Simon's Quest. FF9 was pretty darn good, though not divine in my opinion.
I guess I've avoided most of the worst, but how about this: Thundercade (NES) It was a mondo boring overhead motorcycle game I rented, and it had a self-moving screen. Like Legendary Wings gone horribly wrong and minus the cool imagery. Other than that I'd just like to say that I'm still pissed at the first NES Ninja Turtles game because I couldn't beat it, and the same with Ikari Warriors II. Last Battle for Genesis was a great looking side scrolling fighting game, but the control sucked and you only got one life. FF8 and the PS Street Fighter Alpha ports and Breath of Fire 3 were all dissappoining, though not terrible. Anyone ever hear of Flicky for Genesis? I never rented it but the graphics looked pre-NES, and when it was released Genesis had already been out for a couple of years, so I just laughed and looked at the back. -------------------- Get me off this Disciplinary Committee so I can play any FF except for FF8!!! |

I really don't like FF7, but it was more disappointing than terrible, so I'll say Zombie Nation for the NES.

Quote (@Ss@Ss!N @ 4th February 2004 21:20) The Bouncer- ECK! This game was horrible. Most of the bosses were uber-hard and the limited control of your characters sucked big time. ![]() Umm...ok did you not know how to block or something because that game was "uber" easy...all the bosses were pathetic easy and the game was short...and you said you didn't like it cus it was hard?? Hard games are the best...if it's to easy I get bored with it,unless of course the story is amazing...but never the less the bouncer would have to be one of the easiest games I've ever played. As far as games I hate...well I'd have to say I can't stand all of the Odd Worlds...specially the one for xbox,Munch's oddesy or whatever it was. There was a demo for it on Halo and it was horrible I didn't care for the Incredible Hulk on Game Cube either...although I think they made it for PS2 and Xbox also.I hated all of the Top Gears haha of course I don't really like racing games anyway, and also I hate Dead or Alive Beach Volley Ball,it's good for nothing but a bunch of old redneck pervs to get their jollys off looking at a bunch of animated girls in skimpy little bimbo swim suits...they aren't even real so get a life!!! ![]() -------------------- Climhazzard is the timeless evil robot who runs some of the cool stuff at CoN (mostly logging chat, since there are no quizzes at the moment), all the while watching and waiting for his moment to take over the world. -Tiddles |

I have to speak up in defense of FF IX, the whole Zidane/Kuja storyline is second only in the series to the Cloud/Sephiroth plot. Also, Vivi is the coolest magic user ever!
The game I'd consign to the incinerator would have to be FF VIII, because the plot line was stupid, the flashbacks to the Laguna storyline were distracting, and the characters (except Zell and Irvine) were annoying as hell. I couldn't finish the game, it told me to put in the last disc, and I said "Hell no, I'm not gonna waste another minute of my time on this crap!" And so I haven't played since then. -------------------- "I was using a metaphor. Ninja Gaiden... for the Genesis. It's like Konami purposely made a bad game. There's horrible scripting, the enemies walked off screen as soon as they spawn. Level progression depended on defeating these off-screen goons. Half of what should of had collision didn't, so jumping toward you (the player) while on a STREET resulted in pitfall death. Your ninja power kick killed enemies half a screen away. Bosses were poor AI, they also walked off screen. Pressing the start button allowed you change the game clock with the D-pad. While paused, pressing another button skipped the level. It truly is the worst game ever made, and I've played Bebe's Kids (SNES) too... be afriad of Motown Software.

I can't remember which one, but one started with two ninjas running at each other, and one dying (the main guys father or something) and I remember it had really distinctive music. Both games I got to a point where I was like, what the heck do I do now? and stopped playing. -------------------- The clouds ran away, opened up the sky And one by one I watched every constellation die And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star I should've known, walked all the way home To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone -Atmosphere "Always Coming Back Home to You" |

If you care to save yourself... be aware you just described the OPENING scene Ninja Gaiden I for NES, you didn't actually play until after the scene.

It seems like FF9 and maybe also FF8 are polarizing games. Most of the opinions I view about those two are fervently on one end or another, with few people in the middle of the road about them.
My vote for worst game ever is Star Control 3. In all fairness, this is probably due to the fact that I liked Star Control 2 so much, and 3 just couldn't hold a burning match to 2 in my opinion. PB78 |

Well, you obviously didn't read my post right. Quote but one started with two ninjas running at each other, and one dying (the main guys father or something) and I remember it had really distinctive music. The key words bolded. It started (as in opening scene), with the two ninjas running at each other, one of which was the main character's (who you are about to play as in the game) father. And you don't need to be all pompous. Nice to meet you too.

Tiddles would be pleased to know that this thread came up near the top of a Google search for "worst game ever".
The "X Games On One Tape!" compilations (where X is a number between 50-200) on the ZX Spectrum were pretty bad. Due to the size and manpower restrictions, they were usually games typed out from a magazine listing, or things like "Guess the Number". I have fond memories of the "Predict How Far the Little Ski-ing Guys Will Go" game though. This post has been edited by Waz on 10th April 2004 00:31 |

I think he's more concerned that you dissed the ninja gaiden without realizing it. And that is a serious error.

Shaq Fu. Easily the worst fighting game ever made. The plot runs as follows: you are Shaquille O'Neal, NBA center (on the Magic at the time, natch) who is mysteriously transported to an alternate dimension. You proceed to fight a bunch of reject characters for no apparent reason other than to torture yourself and desecrate the memory of every poor, misguided child who ever attempted to play this game.
I'd also like to add that the game plays like a retarded, paraplegic monkey - if the monkey was dead. All of the characters' moves are either exactly the same or totally pointless, and the game balance defines the term "crappy." So yeah, do yourself a favor and never play it. Better yet, do everyone else a favor and destroy every copy of it you ever see. The 7th Saga, WOW... I like Enix, but this game was basically "Fight, fight, fight fight, go to next dungeon, fight, fight, fight, fight, finally fight the boss, fight, fight, Hooray! You got to the next town!" Seriously, I spent a ridiculous amount of time fighting monsters to gain more experience. The concept was okay, but I think they could have done a lot better.

Worst game ever...
Richard Scarry's Busytown for the Genesis ![]() or maybe...Shaq Fu, one of the worst fighting games ever, in my opinion. I also hated Darkstone, not because of the game itself, but because of the load times. Gah, would've been decent if not for that. Air Fortress for the NES, that game was too hard to even be fun. |
