Balk was kinda cool. He shares the Engineer class with Mustadio, PLUS he gives me my first weapon with an attack rating of 20 in the game.
I love how he tries to punch my ninja with his little weak girlyman wrists after I lift that Blaze Gun off of him. ![]() This post has been edited by Hamedo on 25th June 2004 17:32 -------------------- Join the Army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill them. ~Pacifist Badge, 1978 |

![]() I’d have to say Mesdoram Elmdor, Marquis of Limberry. The real Elmdor was actually a decent guy -- an undefeated warrior of Ivalice called “The Silver Noble†or “The Silver Ogre,†depending on whether the person was an ally or foe. When Lucavi resurrects him, Elmdor is an evil SOB who has control of the Ultima demons Celia and Lede. -------------------- The world before the fall... Delightful is the light of dawn... My favorite villain is Dycedarg Beoulve. The coolest name, ever. He was, I think, THEE bad guy in FFT. He killed his own father for glory, he betrayed his closest confidants, and used his family, friends, and hired-hands so he could be the King of Ivalice. His black heart shows even more vile when he wanted the powers of the Lucavi Zodiac Brave, Adramelk, though refusing to join the Shrine Knights.
His abilities as a Lune Knight (SwordSkill and All Magic) are great and would be a cool asset if a Lune Knight were to join the party. ![]() This post has been edited by FabulousFreebird on 20th March 2006 14:09 -------------------- "Thought I was dead, eh? A case can certainly be made for Dycedarg being the most rotten apple in the bunch, but I still have to go with Delita. Delita: Murdered a princes advisor to get influence over Goltana so he could take the Nanten where he wanted. Murdered an innocent man, telling him that he was doing the will of God.... when Delita most likely didn't even believe in the God that he was asking the man to sacrifice himself for. Murdered Balmafula. (yeah, yeah.... she was a traitor to him... but she was cute, dammit!) And let's not forget the coup de grace.... murdered his wife! rat bastard... -------------------- Join the Army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill them. ~Pacifist Badge, 1978 |

Sorry to correct you, but Balamafula didn't die. She escaped, and showed up with Olan in the 'graveyard' scene at the end. One must wonder how exactly she eluded Delita's wrath, though...
I don't think Delita was actually evil. Though his intentions were entirely repulsive, he never actually killed any innocents to further his plans. 1) Minister Gelwan ~ He probably was a real traitor to Goltana. 2) Zalmo Rusnada ~ He did it to protect Ramza. 3) Lord Goltana ~ Goltana deserved it. 4) Grevados ~ Delita never said anything about God. Grevados did. 5) Queen Ovelia ~ She was nuts. It was self-defense... Even though all these deaths played directly into his hands, I don't think he was really evil... Just ambitious. What is it that Wiegraf said? "Without sacrifice, there is no progress!" or something to that effect... -------------------- I can't think of anything to say, really, except... I think it's nice... Well let's take a look at all of it again.
1. Minister Gelwan: "Probably" doesn't cut it. Delita has been abusing and using people the whole story through. What would stop him from killing an advisor to further his own reputation in Goltana's eyes? Also, there is no evidence anywhere that Gelwan was a traitor, but we KNOW that Delita is a traitor. 2. Zalmo: At the beginning of the fight, Delita says something to the effect of "now that you've seen me, I can't let you live!". How is that protecting Ramza? 3. Goltana: True, he did deserve it.... but I didn't use Goltana's death as one of my reasons for choosing Delita. 4. Grevados: How would Grevados have known about the plan if Delita had not came to him and said "Look, we need a body double for Orlandu. You will die, but it is for the greater {good/God/insert your own idea here} that we must do this." ? When in reality it was for Delita's good that he did it, so everyone would think Orlandu dead, leaving him free to aid Ramza. 5. The story of whether it was murder or self defense is up for debate. I say murder, but there's nothing pointing 100% either way. As for Balmafula.... I can't find a screenshot of the woman talking to Olan at Alma's grave, but I remember it looking like Balmafula. Unless I see a shot of her speaking at the grave with her name in the text box, though, I don't think it is. I referenced this page's section, plus what I saw in the game when Delita killed her, to back it up. http://www.grifffin.com/tactics/historymakers02.htm This post has been edited by Hamedo on 1st July 2004 17:30 -------------------- Join the Army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill them. ~Pacifist Badge, 1978 |

My favorite badguy would be Weigraf before the secound chapter. His cause for fighting was a little more admirable back then. He was almost a hero to me.
![]() Now after Chpt. 1 he becomes a much more mindless greedy dude and that just adds to his character I guess. I must say Celia And Lede the assasins, everything looks pathetic for them, and they always think they are sure to win.
I personnaly think they have the cooloest moves in the game: Shadow Stick, Death Bracelet, Ultima. And they jump alot for girls!! damn 7 Jump with no equip jump bonuses.. This post has been edited by Zodiac on 3rd July 2004 12:03 -------------------- Sayonara |

He DID get kinda more evil later on though in Limberry ![]() |

As far as the Zodiac Braves go, Elmdor was indeed the gentleman of the bunch. He carried an aire of sophistication that the others lacked. I mean really.... with all that power, and two chicks who could kill instantly, would you be nice enough to politely ASK for a holy stone instead of just taking it?

"She is killed by Delita for being a threat." If you check the Brave Story section of the menu and pull up Balmafula you will see that she still has her age left in. Everybody that dies in Tactics has their age removed. Delita "killed" her to set her free. -------------------- Now the story's played out like this. Just like a paperback novel. Let's rewrite an ending that fits. |

What a question.
so many choices I am down with Rofel. Not because he is particularly powerful (total wuss if u use maintenance), but because of how he stabs funeral in the back with the sword and then just walks away. Wiegraf and Elmdor are definitely up there though |

My favorite is Wiegraf..formidable bad guy...all the other bad guys are pushovers (well maybe except Elmdor). Wiegraf\Velius presented the greatest challenge in FFT.

I would have to say Elmdor's assassians. Those two girls are so damn powerful it is not even funny. Took me about 5 times to beat them without getting anyone killed by one of them on the roof. Elmdor was also cool but if I was one of those assassians I would have just killed him and taken power.

Though my original post for Dycedarg being my favorite still stands, I have to make it a point to list Gaff Gafgarion as my other (or second) favorite. Dark Sword I think is a really cool ability and combine that with his age and experience, a true mercenary at heart, and not changing allegiances without a price tag. He gets the nod to me for originally appearing as a father-figure to Ramza after Chapter 1 and still fights for the highest bidder.

Easily Vormav. Seriously, he is my absoulte favorite villain in any game, ever. Everything he did in FFT reflected upon his true inner evil. In fact, I'm currently writing a fanfic about him...though I doubt I'll finish anytime soon. He is an extreme badass, and the greatest Shrine Knight. He portays villainy, IMO.

Ok i think Elmdor was the best bad guy of all time he pretty much a samurai "how cool is that" he has a sweet sword and babes for bodyguards. Theres a lot of cool things you can take from him but the sword is the best. theres qiet a story behind that.

This is a no brainer
I dont usually like magic users but cmon Raidul he only Sorcerer in the game, BEst staff, good looks, and A smooth talker A close second would have to be Serpentis, That mage who Brought that 13 zodiac into being, That led to questions that they never explained in the game, my mind was curious with questions and nothing ever popped up again Miluda jeez I love the way you can just picture her saying( Look ok life aint getting better, You dont wanna die get outta my way) or (You get in ma way and your asking for a beating) Perfect enemy team .. before Zodiac beasts Elmdor, Dycerag, Weigraf (even though i believe he is fighting for a good cause) Miluda( Im pretty sure she'd become a stronger form of knight if she had lived) and of course Cecila and Lede I think this would be hard to stop even with orlandu This post has been edited by Ckaos on 28th May 2005 18:35 |
