Djibriel has once again submitted a fanfic for the Final Fantasy VI section, called The White Cloaks.
Using a character that is often ignored, his fanfiction is a skewed look at an event that happened in-game, with very damaging results to many. Short and creative. This post has been edited by Elena99 on 13th June 2004 22:14 -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

Yes, a very unusual character and an unusual subject, but you covered it very nicely. Great job, Djibriel

Quote (Elena @ 13th June 2004 16:14) Short and creative. You mean brilliant, right? -_^ Well, that's just my opinion, but if you're reading this and haven't read The White Cloaks yet, please do! Thanks for the positive feedback, guys.
Although it wasn't the main idea behind the initial story, I personally like the effect it has on your look on 'our heroes'. The game makes it so easy to assume that you're the good guys rather then 'people'. But is that really true? A lot of the fights you engage are triggered by your own actions (Atma, for instance, is not a necessary battle by any means, and he doesn't do anything hostile unless you attack him), and 'our heroes' have no problem with killing/attacking people just because they annoy them or they get items for it (Colloseum). So basically, the general attitude of 'our heroes' isn't very thoughtful, but rather rash and agressive. I think pointing that out was a nice move, and I might include more of this idea in later work. All that remains is me saying: "By all means, follow Zephir his advice", and enjoy doing so. -------------------- |
