Okay, I don't know about everyone else, but I think college football is the greatest thing ever. Nothing beats the feel of walking around a big ten campus on a gameday. Who's everyone's favorite team? Who do you think will go all the way?
Personally, although I may be a little biased, I think if MSU is gonna make it to a Rose Bowl in the next 5-10 years, it will be this year. We have the best schedule you could ask for, and the Jeff Smoker/Charles Rodgers combo is the best offensive weapon in college football, IMO. Go Green! Heh heh! If Michigan State makes it to the Rose Bowl, they may be facing my Oregon Ducks. I'm going down to Autzen Stadium today to watch the Ducks hopefully destroy Mississippi State (It shouldn't be much of a problem), and I'll be going to a bunch of other games too, since we decided to get season tickets this year. What a year to get them, too, since we've got EIGHT home games, including the decisive one against Washington near the end of the season.
Speaking of Washington, they need to lose. Huskies are evil. Right now Michigan's taking care of them halfway through the first quarter, 7-0, and they've got it 15 yards from the Huskie goal. And that was a pretty bad play, so now it's 3rd and 10 ![]() -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? I've always been a Northwestern fan. Too bad they didn't win the Rose Bowl against USC like 5 years ago or whenever.
![]() Also, I like Oregon. Until College football implements some sort of playoff system, it will be down around 6-7th on my list. It also hurts that my school lacks a football team

I'm not into football at all...but I suppose I ought to root for University of Tennessee, since I'm going there. They're playing Wyoming today, and are expected to win. Joy.

I'm pretty sure UT won today. That should not be a difficult game for them, and they should finish in the Top 5. Oregon will hopefully be up there with them, and started the season off the right way today, winning 36-13. The big question for UO was their defense, and they proved it today...Mississippi State didn't get a first down until there were four minutes left in the first half, and Oregon was already up 24-0. Ha!
Best part of today was listening to the Washington-Michigan game on the way down to Eugene (OR). Washington was leading 29-28 and was on their way to win it, with only 20 seconds left, and they took a timeout to set their defense...AND THEY CAME BACK OUT WITH 12 PEOPLE. They got called for the penalty, Michigan was within field goal range, and after missing their first three of the game, they made the last one and won the game 31-29. Yeah, they did. 47-7. But, if I hear "Rocky Top" one more time..... ![]() -------------------- "So in the end I will be-what I will be No loyal friend Was ever there for me" -Gollum's Song, Emiliana Torrini |

Northwestern fans, eh? Well I hope then that you witnessed them getting embarrassed 52-3 by Air Force yesterday :-P . And Neal, MSU also has 8 home games and probably the best schedule you could ask for. The only really tough games we have are at Michigan, and vs. Notre Dame. Hopefully this year we win the games we're supposed to. Also, because of the fact that MSU has not been to a Rose Bowl since 1988, if they tie any team in the Big Ten except for Penn State they will go because they haven't been in so long.

Hehe. Oregon has eight home games as well. The schedule is not that difficult at all...the toughest games will be at Washington State and vs. Washington. But with 56,000 fans attending the newly-renovated stadium that was one of the most difficult places to play before the renovation, Washington is gonna have a difficult time beating us at our house. And yes, I know there are plenty of stadiums that hold more than 56,000 fans. I did watch part of Washington at Michigan, remember.

My favorite team is definately the Oregon Ducks. Followed by Michigan State. I'm not really sure who will take it this year but the Ducks and Spartans will never be out of the question in my opinion. Both have solid programs...
