I null voted. First, it didn't have all the elements as choices, and second, I don't really have a favorite.
For those of you who say there're 8 elements--that's true. It's just that some of those aren't represented in the magic repertoire. But we have Wind Slash for wind, and El Nino, Cleansweep, and Aqua Rake for water. And Merton is fire- and wind-elemental? I always thought it was only fire elemental. Interesting. Darkness shows up as an element only in FFIV and CT, of the SNES games. Gravity doesn't show up at all (unless you say it's the same as earth element); it's just an alternative name to Demi. And in esper attacks, earth shows up in Earth Aura (Terrato), water shows up in Bismarck's attack (I can't remember it's name), and Tritoch has a tri-elemental attack in Tri-Dazer. Bahamut's Megaflare is non-elemental, as is the Flare magic. (Seems to me that Square has had a tough time deciding whether Flare/Nuke should be non-elemental or fire-elemental. I solved the problem with my own elemental system in my game (see Your Creations: I'm making my own console RPG.), and making Nuke poison-elemental and Flare fire-elemental.) 1stclass: I'm not too sure, but I think Aurabolt is pearl-elemental. One last word, on chiming noises: Fire 3 does indeed have dull "chong" sounds that accompany the fireball impacts. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. I don't like any of the choices because I am a dark man at heart and so I prefer the more acane magic, like that of a dark knight, over all these spells. If I did have to choose one it would be the bolt spells just so I could see my enemies suffer while they were being electricuted...MWHAHAHA

I had to say Bolt. Nothing makes me more satisfied than to see an enemy frying...wooh.

Quote (l)arkShadow) I'd go with fire cause it has flare in it. flare rox Flare isn't a fire elemental attack. I just found that out about 3 weeks ago. ![]() -------------------- FFXI (Siren server) Tauu the Windurstian Tarutaru! White Mage & Paladin |
