He devours the toothbrush completely, leaving him oddly shaped like seen in many a Tom and Jerry cartoon. Although he now is 5 feet and shaped like a toothbrush, he still is a person and therefore is allowed on the bus.
Yeah, that must be the answer you mean. -------------------- |

Those are both.....inventive, but still no. He couldn't possibly devour the toothbrush and the lampost is a new one but still no. Here is a hint: There is a mathmatical solution.

Disguise the brush as a person,
... or say that it's not 5ft high, but 5ft LONG. Then it'll be less than 1 foot high and he can lay it on the floor. -------------------- "I fell off the mountain of words at around the 10,000ft mark. He puts it on the bike rack in front of the bus?
Or, he opens a window on the bus, and he holds it with his arms hangin gout the window? Or straps it on under the bus? Or creates a hole in space-time.....? Or a mathematical solution... Find something that is 4 feet long, and 3 feet long and create a right 3-4-5 triagle, no matter which side is resting on the bottom, the triangle will never be more then 4 feet high.... Or alternatively...you could get two pieces that are roughly 3.5 feet high and have a 45-45-90 triangle that's even shorter.
Or an isoceles with 2 more toothbrushes. This post has been edited by The Ancient on 1st June 2004 15:27 -------------------- "That Light has bestowed upon me the greatest black magic!" |

Acctualy Fadian got it. He would get a 4 by 3 box, the diagonal measure of 5ft!

Quote (The Ancient @ 1st June 2004 09:17) Or an isoceles with 2 more toothbrushes. Actually, 2 more toothbrushes would be an equalateral. Isoceles is wih 2 even sides, equal is with 3. But anyway.... It's up for grabs, who ever has one. I can't think of one. -------------------- "And that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped” -Sir Bedevere the Wise |

Ok I love this next riddle, old, but good.
Four men want to cross a bridge at night time, with only one flashlight. They can only cross two at most, or one person at a time if desired. Each time a person(s) cross the flashlight must be with them in order to see, and everytime a person crosses someone must bring it back so others can cross. When two people cross at the same time, the time taken is the time of the slowest person. How must these four cross if they must do it within 17 minutes. The times of the four people are as follows: A:1 minute B:2 minutes C:5 minutes D:10 minutes Say person A and C went together, then it would take the trip 5 minutes. -------------------- moé in the streets, senpai in the sheets |

A crosses with B and A brings the flashlight back to C and D, total time: 3 min. C and D cross and B brings back the flashlight total time: 15 min. A and B cross the bridge together, total time: 17 min.

It's been 2 days and the poster never said you were right.
How ever, you are. I PMed him the same answer after he posted it (because I couldn't answer, and I wanted to make sure I had the right answer) Go ahead and take it DC8 -------------------- "And that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped” -Sir Bedevere the Wise |

She has a child (girl) that her second husband brought when he married her, and she had 4 boys and 3 girls from her first marriage. She now has 4 girls and 4 boys.

Nope, they are all boys. Half are boys, and the other half are also boys.

Quote (The Gambler @ 11th June 2004 20:23) MUAHAHAHA nobody has even gotten close! It was counterfeit currency. Free question I guess. Counterfit currency? Strange. You thimk it would be someting more obvious like nothi*g, or a virus. Forgive ,e if this one has been done, but I'm always to lazy to check. If it has, someone else can h ve it. It goes like this: There were two sons of a wealthy king, both equally su(ted to inherit the money. They didn't know who was going to get it 0ntil the king died, and it would say in his will. Once he king had deid they opened th! will, read it, and it said thi": My two sons shall race on thei3 horsess to the river bank. The( shall ride from dawn t* dusk, *nly stopping for rest. his is *o ordinary race. This time, it #ill be whoever gets their horse to the bank LAST. Whover's horse arrives last shall win my inheritance. The next day the two sons both rode at the s me speed and got no further tha* 1 mile when it turned o dusk and they stayed the nigh0 in the inn. While eating dinner, the waiter said only two words to them. The next day, the sons raced the horses as fast as th y could to the riverbank. What 2ere the two words said, and why did these words make the sons r ce their horses at top speed? -------------------- "We're not tools of the government or anyone else. the two words w!re "switch horses." the will 2aid that whoever's horse arcived last would win. since they switched hroses, crossing the finish line first meant that your horse willa rrive last. naturally, they both wanted the(r horse to arrive last, so they rode as fast as they could.
