Little Jimmy had a freind called Bob. Bob always wore a scarf and hat, but one day, Bob went away when it got sunny.
Jimmy was heartbroken, but a year later or so, Bob was back and so on. Why does Bob only come around every year? -------------------- "Only the dead have seen the end of their quotes being misattributed to Plato." -George Santayana "The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here..." -Abraham Lincoln, prior to the discovery of Irony. |

What's so odd about this sentence?
I do not know where family doctors acquired illegibly perplexing handwriting; nevertheless, extraordinary pharmaceutical intellectuality, counterbalancing indecipherability, transcendentalizes intercommunications' incomprehensibleness. -------------------- "My impersonation of an ordinary person was flawless." - Neal "Don't cry because it's over. It does have some big words, but there is something more specific.

There's one more letter in each word than the one before it, starting from the beginning.

Close enough. The last part of the answer is that the date and time can be written as numbers 1-8 in succession. 12:34, 5/6/78. Your turn, Scotty.

What gets a little lighter every time you use it, yet makes someone else heavier, and probably knocks them down?

Ok i hate to double post but i have a way better solution...it is a pair of weights the more you use them the stronger you get therefore they become lighter to you and when you hand them to somebody else i.e. your spotter they become heavyer due to the weight of the weights and will probibly lose their balance resulting in a fall
Moderator Edit We hate you to double post, too. That's why there's an edit button. Please use it instead of double posting. Many thanks. -Tiddles This post has been edited by Tiddles on 16th March 2004 00:07 -------------------- There is a time and a place for everything, and I am niether |

I'm not too good at coming up with these things...I just like to solve 'em. So I went and found this riddle somwhere. It shouldn't be too hard:
A mile from end to end, yet as close to you as a friend. A precious commodity, freely given, seen on the dead and on the living. Found on the rich, poor, short or tall, but shared among children most of all. What is it? -------------------- Jeez, another signature...i can't do this anymore, just kill me already! |
