even though im not a ball fan, i prefer playing than watching, im glad they didn't go on strike, because it would of been pure stupidity and i would of lost all respect for the Major League players. What the hell more do they want?! >_<  i mean come on! They get payed millions of dollars a year to play baseball... what they want MORE millions! Those greedy bastards! This might have caused a heeted subject but seriously, most of you have to agree with me.

They're all greedy. The good news is, the owners are gonna hold off the contraction of the Expos and company(who would have thought the Twins would be so good?) until 2006. That would have put tons of players out on the streets with no jobs and only a major in Broadcasting.
Some players really piss me off. Especially the Yankee players.
I can see why some of the teams that don't have billions of dollars to spend would want to have some kind of equalizer though.

Go Expos! Give them a few years of glory, but they'll eventually die anyways.

Ah, excellent.  I find it pretty disturbing that people couldn't live off of $200,000 salaries for playing a game that they hopefully love.  It was raised to $300,000 minimum, if I remember correctly.  Oh, poor, poor, athletes.  ;)

::ahem::

i believe you are only mad at one player inparticular. But don't hate all the Yankee players for it. Most of the other Yankee players don't have nearly the salary that Giambi has. Shane Spencer is only making about 600,000 a year. [heh... "only"600K] But compared to Giambi making 170 million over 6 years... yeah.
And, being a Yankee fan as I am, I must address the fact of the Yankees "buying" the players they need. Let me just say that the Yankees have a billionaire owner who is, while also owning the Devils in hockey and Nets in basketball, devoted to the game of baseball.

so, i just had to say that ^_^

Go Twins!! I'd love to see them win the World Series and shove it down Bud Selig's lousy throat. That would be awesome. Wouldn't mind seeing the Mariners win it, either. Stupid National League might be the same four teams as last year, at least 3 out of four.

Poor Cubbies. Snuffed out for 94 straight years now. But you just wait, next year's the year!
At least, hopefully before the century mark.

And yes. Giambi = sellout piece of crap.
Steinbreiner = greedy, all-powerful piece of crap.
