Which Mario RPG character is your favorite?

I like Bowser. It's just funny to watch him fumble over his words and still trying to keep his dignity after being taken down by a giant sword.

Please elaborate on any favorite in your post.

I miss you all now that I'm in boarding school! ;_;

There wasn't really any character that stood out story-wise, so I just based it on how they are in battle. I like Mario's skills the most, so I voted for him.

If we're just basing it off of battle skills, Geno is the choice. I mean, Geno Boost prior to every battle and then just let him and Mario just lay the hurt on whoever it is... Geno Beam was helpful in the beginning...

BUT I didn't vote for Geno.. I voted for Johnny.. just because he was so damn cool. I wish he had joined your party ... or had partaken in the battle against Yardivoch... the battle Mario vs. Johnny was probably my favorite in the game.

to me, Booster is without a doubt the most amusing character in this game. I enjoyed the entire Booster plot, and the line "Princess, are you leaking?" was absolutely priceless. I also think the eccentric ol' dog should have joined ranks with the mario team. Also croco and i guess johnny, although i dont feel that much attached to him. But he redeems himself by being a pirate.

FYI!!!!

Hey, go to boosters house after you take care of everything in Nimbus, you should see something very interesting.

What makes Super Mario RPG one of the most entertaining games around is that all of the characters have so much personality. From an off-beat pirate shark to a marshmallow man masquerading as a tadpole, there's plenty of originality. The humor value is fantastic!

That being said, I loved each of them in their own way, both for playable characters and NPCs.

Yeah, Booster is probably in my top 3 favorites list. Doesn't he look like Wario to anyone else out there?

I voted for Mallow. He's cool, even though his attack power sucks at the beginning, but he's got healing spells and the best attack spells. Just doesn't have too much HP either (that's for Bowser). For some reason I like powerful magic users (especially those who can also fight well, like Magus). Mallow was also a cool character personality-wise.

Upon thinking of it, Booster DOES look an unnerving little bit like Wario.... And I do so wish that you could have Johnny in your team.

You all will probably make fun of me, but I'm going to say Link. I know he doesn't play any role in the game whatsoever, but come on. Link is a cool little guy wearing a green tunic. Plus, he never talks so you can't make fun of him.

But if I did had to choose who was my favorite character (that plays a part in the game) I would choose Geno.

Geno all the way!! I mean, think about it, a little fairy/star/floating magic thingy posseses a doll and ends up kicking major tail, how is that NOT hilarious? Besides that he had great battle abilities. Also, he, along with Mario, were the two most noble characters in the game. He wants to fix star road so that the wishes of children (ands others) can come true! He's nice, he's funny, he's powerful, he's got everything you will ever need.

though for some odd reason, I never used him in the final fight against Smithy....Mallow and the Princess were soooooo much more useful....Geno is still my fav though.

Like SM said, everyone in the game is pretty great. What makes SMRPG such a great game is the personalities of the characters. I'm going to give an honarable mention to Toad, but I think Bowser steals the show. Who knew the guy had such a sensitive side?

At first I thought Booster was Wario, but nope. Doesn't really look like him, has different colors, and he's just really stupid and mildly evil. Not really evil and mildly stupid like Wario.

Geno is Da Man, but the Axem Rangers were a hella fun part too.

Second fave party member would be Bowser, though.
