Hello all, I was wondering if any one here knows what exactly the Imperial symbol means? You see it on several banners in Vector in the WoB, and if memory serves you see it once in Kefka's tower.
I have little to no understanding of Asiatic languages, so I was curious as to what it means. Does it mean anything at all or is it just a cool looking Japanese symbol put in there to make the Empire look more imposing? Thanks for your time. -------------------- Blood & Fire |

there are several of us on the boards with various levels of understanding on kanji -- and even if we are unfamiliar with the symbols, we certainly know how to use kanji dictionaries. if you can link a picture of the imperial symbol, maybe one of us will be able to help you out. i don't ever even remember the imperial symbol. -.-

I went through Kefka's Tower, and the image below is the closest thing I could find to what you're talking about. I would've checked Vector, but I didn't have a save game anywhere near.

nto a kanji. most likely, it's just some random artistic symbol the artists came up with to symbolise the empire, like the zanarkand symbol, or the shin-ra symbol.

Thanks for all the input, although I must admit I'm kinda bummed it doesn't mean anything, I was kinda hoping it would translate into something cool.
Oh well, the Empire kinda sucked anyways. -------------------- Blood & Fire |
