Hi, I haven't heard of this trick anywhere else, and I'm hoping that I've foudn something somewhat original.

The un-original part of this trick involves getting your magic evade above 127 by equiping a character with illumina/paladin shield/any helmet/force armor. This will make the character block anything that is blockable.

Now, I was in a low-level game, gaining spells by fighting cactrots. Celes had over 127 m.evade, but 1-2 other chars would die every time I ran away from the land worms. Constantly reviving them after every encounter was annoying. So, I wondered, would there be a way to keep them all alive? Of course! True knight! I equipped True Knight on Celes, and kept the others in low-health, and she blocked every single attack by the land worms. Gaining spells in low levels wasn't such a pain any longer.

Intrigued by this, I messed around with it, and found that my whole party was untouchable by almost any monster as long as I Berzerked them (so that they could not cast spells). Since I had Celes, I also found that equipping her other relic slot with Running Shoes, and having her Runic would make my party invincible against many other enemies, as she would simply absorb magic. Because I kept the other party members in low health, they could do desperation attacks in addition to normal ones quite often.

Needless to say, kicking the asses of high-level bosses with 6-7 level chars without being touched is quite rewarding wink.gif If only FF6 had a "flawless victory" notification biggrin.gif

Does anyone else have any such unusual combos? (i.e. not the standard ones such as gengi glove/offering and other ones that everyone knows)

I've never done a low level game myself, but I am working on a patch to add a "flawless victory" message to the end of battle.

I just need a free variable location and some help with animations.

That would be badass, though hard to program in I would imagine- you would have to add some code to check whether all member's HP is at maximum, and then return the message if it is such.

That wouldn't work. You could have max HP from healing. I'm sure Ogopogo knows what he's doing. We'll leave the thinking up to him. happy.gif
