It's green. That's one thing that makes her unique. Maybe it's an esper thing. I'm not sure why Gau has green hair though.

Green. Amano (as much as I love his style) makes EVERY female blonde, including Faris, Dagger, and Eiko to name a few, so his take on chicks' hair is null and void.

I voted green. And you really can't base anything off of Amano's designs. EVERYONE of Amano's designs (well, nearly) has the character as both androgenous and blonde, so...

It is definitely green. She has the color green as a sprite and on the menu picture.

I prefer green. Most fanart portrays her with green hair too, but every once in a while you see a blonde one of course.

Totally green. I think the blond comes from trying to do a more "realistic" illustration of the character, since most people in our world don't have naturally sea-green hair. ^_^

Green. Definitely green. I mean, come on! Why would anyone want to change something as classic as Terra's green hair? I noticed that, up to this point, everyone has voted green. I think that just about everyone agrees that it cannot be any other color.

and she may blonde in the video sequences, but her hair is green
remember the version with video sequences came out almost about a decade later
so since in the origonal game and in all non-added parts of the second version her hair is green

And in the original character art, her hair is blonde, as already mentioned a half-dozen times. I fail to see how this proves your point.

Anyway, I think her hair was green mostly to differentiate her from Celes. If they decided to change the hair color on one of them, I think Terra was the obvious choice to make her a bit more "special." But I'm not coing to claim it as fact - I just think it was a good choice.

Yes, i did steal that from cartoon network. I thought that it fit the thread perfectly, and that some people would find it at least halfway amusing. I guess I was mistaken. I apologize at my lame attempt to be funny. Anyway, as far as her hair color goes, one must decide how they want to base it:
1. The game
2. The artwork

Afterwords, it is fairly simple on choosing her hair. If you believe the game has the correct color, then you would think its green. If you would go by the artwork, then you would think its blonde. I believe that her rightful hair color is blonde. I am going with this color because he did all of the art for the game, and obviously was not told to redo it. I know that this is a flimsy response, but i don't know enough about the artist to really put forth an excellent debate. Sorry guys.

Well, they did do something that made certain characters "special" in all the FFs (SNES onwards). Like in FFIV, the characters with Lunarian blood had Green eyes, while the full-humans in FFV had Green eyes. They sort of just tossed the eye-color thing around in FFVI, so I guess the unique appearance thing was applied to hair, which was continued in FFVII, and FFX. VIII got a scar, and IX got a tail and a horn and non-human-like species.

Green, I say! No matter how the art is coloured, I go with the game sprites. I love odd hair colours. I hate that you can't have natural green hair or violet eyes and such in reality.

It's much better to have unique distinguishable characters. On TV 99% of all man are tall skinny and have short dark hair and 99% of all women have big boobs. However, in reality people look all kinds of different, so it's great to have that same variety in games..... especially if it involves crazy hair colors.

P.S. I also enjoy being able to tell Terra and Celes apart, which is kind of hard in the movie sequences sometimes.

im gonna go with the FF6 fanfics of Magicite54 "The Terra Episode", "The Celestial Rise", and "Finding Santuary" to make everyone happy. Normally Terra's hair is blonde, however when she uses magic it turns green for a while.

Her Hair is green. I've played the game and seen some screen shots of the ps version. I'm pretty sure her hair color is a shiny green that reflects light really easily, making it look blond whenever light shines on it. It's reminicent of nickelodeon slime. I don't really get why her hair is blond when NO light shines on it,though.

To make more of a point... I've seen some scenes where she has blonde hair (artwork. cutscenes) but basically, this doesn't fit in. Terra's hair is emerald green, like MAduin's is grey-green.
