Can anyone help? I never used Sabin much, but I just got to the WoR and have Bum Rush, so I kinda need to start using him more. The problem IS that I'm playing FF6 on my playstation, and the directional pad only has up, down, left and right. That means the only moves I can perform are Pummel, Suplex and Mantra. How do I use the directions imbetween - pushing two directions at the same time doesn't help. If this is really simple, sorry for the thread.

Treat it like you would a move in Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter. Kinda have your fingers roll around the pad. For example, when you want to perform Fire Dance, which goes from left to right counterclockwise, start at left, then roll across to down and continue across to right. It's a continuous motion, don't try to push each diagonal movement on its own.

If all else fails, turn on the ole Analog if it's possible in FF6. Happens to me sometimes on games so I just use ANALOG.

The analog feature dosent function in the Final Fantasy Anthology set.

Out of curiosity, were you trying to individually press each button?

And the ennemies arnt animated in FFVI, so you wont be 'bum rushing' much;)

Yep, I was trying to push each button individually, and I had been playing it for a year. (Not straight - I took long breaks). Thats how dumb I am.

Well since you didnt use Sabin much I could see the confusion. He is really good to have around. His Air blade blitz is really good when there are many ennemies on screen.

Slide from the Top arrow clock wise to the left one. Hits all ennemies on screen.
