Which of these do you like and/or use the most?

I always have Cure Rings on all party members. When raising Stamina to 60 each character gets 250 HP every few seconds. Even early in the game I find Cure Rings to be very useful. The characters that don't get hit recharge their HP fast. RunningShoes is great for Gau early in the game. I also like the Black Belt, Zephyr Cape, White Cape and Beads. Anything that raises evasion is good.

DragoonBoots. I usually put them on Mog or Edgar, since they can equip a spear and it seems more proper that way :-)

"Sprint Shoes" is a MUST! Can't live without them! I also like "Back Guard" and "Gale Hairpin". They remove pincer attacks and raise preemptive attack rate. Nice! And "Earrings" are good too, especially combined with a "Hero Ring" (although it's not listed here).

I gotta go for Earings.
Nothing better than dual Earrings on Terra, who morphs and Fire 3's an ice dragon.

For me, it would have to be the wall ring. Images keep popping in my mind on how horrible I did on the magic tower without it.

I really loved the black belt early in the game, I always gave it to people like Cyan, Edgar, or Sabin and just beg an enemy to attack them.

I love the Sprint Shoes, but they're unnecessary in the Anthologies version of the game unless you want to move insanely fast. I can't even control them when they go that fast. I also love the Hyper Wrist, it's nice to see someone's Vigor go up by a ton if they've already got a pretty good rating.

Running Shoes and Hyper Wrist are my favorite : Edgar spends a long time with these two in my games, and it makes him a big time owner in the WoB.

I'm always using hyper wrists, hero rings, earrings or white capes.

Doesn't beads only affect the evasion and not mevade? If so then they are useless in an unpatched game...

Btw, I can't seem to find the percentages on eaarings and hero rings and such yummy stuff, or which ones will stack and how. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

RunningShoes are great for battle, its nice getting 2 hits off for every 1 your opponent does

But SprintShoes... I seriously wouldnt be able to play the game that long if you moved as slow as you do at the beginning.

For me it's always been a matter of time and place for any of those relics, but the ones I utilized the most were the RunningShoes.

There's been countless battles in the past where my characters are all at a Low HP, and a Magician In the Hole ready to fire a powerful Ultima, but the monster gets his "Big One" off right before I do. The Annihilated bubble flashes and you get pissed off because you forgot to save an hour ago and all you're thinking is, "Man, if I'd only equipped Terra with those RunningShoes and this wouldn't have happened." pinch.gif

Black Belt. My god I love counterattacks. heart.gif heart.gif heart.gif
Earrings are great too, especially in this game. I have found myself running dangerously low on mana in some of the nastier fights, so instead of wasting a turn using an Ether on the character, I like having relics that will remove the problem before it even happens. smile.gif

I'm surprised you havnt heard of it. Ever bough Golem or Zoneseek in the WoB? About 80% of the times the auction has Cherub Down instead of what you want. Makes the characer equipping it to float.

Zephyr Cape sucks compared to White Cape. Remember that evade is useless, but the defence bonus that White Cape lends is really good.

Sprint Shoes are a must.

Cherub Down can be bought at the Jidoor Auction house, I believe.

Syndarr--I think Earrings only raise your magic power. With what I know, it's GoldHairpin and Economizer that decrease MP use, if MP is what you mean by mana. If that not what you mean, please tell me; I've never heard MP in any FF referred to as mana.

I'll have to go with black belt. If you give Edgar the blackBelt and GenieGloves for relics, and then give him Drainer and Atma, then he never needs healing, and never needs to waste a turn fighting, and becomes a great magic user.

...I guess the same would go for any charecter, but I think it works best with Edgar.

BlackBelt is also good early in the game on Sabin and Shadow. Its good to give a BlackBelt to Setzer (if your using the FixedDice/Offering combonation), but I normally opt for RunningShoes instead.

And we cannot forget SprintShoes and WallRings, as those are needed at some point in every game.

The Zephyr Cape also raises M.Block by 10%, but you're right about the White Cape being a better relic. Can you equip 2 White Capes for a 20% M.Block gain? If not then the Zephyr Cape is useful.

Er. You're probably right. I had a moment of uncertainty when I was posting, and went, "Wait, that IS what Earrings do, right...?" So yeah. I meant the Hairpin. But Earrings are still nice. blush.gif

And yes, I meant MP. I'm just used to using the term 'mana' in a roleplaying setting, for some reason. Sorry for the confusion.

Note about Earrings: While I remember the game says that earrings are more powerful when paired, that just means that they do twice as much good when you have 2 of them on. I found an FF6 battle algorithm which simply listed twice the magic boost of 2 earrings as compared to 1. So don't think you're getting anything more than the power of 2 separate earrings when you equip them together.

I just held down the "turbo" button on my emulator. But I do remember playing Pokemon on a real game boy--oh my, was it annoying to have to walk back and forth over the same paths that you knew were going to be traversed and retraversed time and time again. With the bicycle it was better, but it only truly got tolerable when I got to fly.

Walking around on the world map in CT is also rather tedious, but walking around on the world map FFIV-VI isn't so tedious, for some reason. (Must be that turbo button, because I found it tedious for FFVII, for which I have the CD-ROM, and I didn't discover turbo until after I finished CT.)

Atlas Armlet +25% physical damage
Earrings +25% magic damage (2 Earrings +50% magic damage)
Hero Ring +25% physical and magic damage (hence, 1 Hero Ring +1 Earring provide +25% physical damage and +50% magic damage, while 1 Hero Ring + 1 Atlas Armlet provide +50% physical damage and +25% magic damage.)

source: Terii S's faq

EDIT:
White Cape is the best purchas-able Relic. Black Belt is a solid second.

Note: Zephyr Cape does not do anything besides give you normal +10% MBlock, despite what the relic description would lead you to believe. I have statistical proof of this if anyone wants to see it.
