Well I'd have to say the character i hate the most would have to be Algus... First of all i thought he was cool until he started calling everyone "commoner". and why the hell did he have a crossbow at zeakden? I train him up and all that cuz he says hes gonna be with me "till the end" but then he becomes an asshole and i have to fight him, then i find he ditched all his past training to hold a bloody crossbow!!! I mean what the hell did i train him for!?

I have to go with two characters:
Algus and Gafgarion they Possible spoilers: highlight to view they both had to join with the enemy groups. but Gafgarion made the mistake of siding with me and sided with the enemy as soon as you find Princess Ovelia Atkascha. when the battle starts, he attacks the princess. but I restarted it and took off all his armor and sword away. and as for Algus, he was a big jurk and it felt good to kill him off. Worst NPC(s) - Dycedarg, for his supreme disregard for the lives of others. Algus, for being a whiny wannabe noble. But I think the absolute worst is Vormav...
Most pointless NPC - Meladioul. Seriously, why is she in the game? She truly serves no purpose except to fill in a few battles. She doesn't fill any other role, even the tidbit about her being Vormav's daughter is pointless because it doesn't lend any new dimension to her character or his. Stupidest NPC - Boco! Because he shows up in battle and I have to save him and then I can't let him go because I feel bad and he just sits there taking up space in my character list! |

i hated boco!!! i didnt even pick him up that battle i was like leave me alone. I hate all chocobos by the way i think dragons with reis are way cooler that and wilbows.

Algus, because he always charged everyone in fights and gets himself offed. This is why in Baldur's Gate I always keep the rest of the party twiddling their thumbs and attack things myself. AI "guests" are sooooooo frustrating.

I did not enjoy Wiegraf. He was near impossible to beat if you weren't at a high enough level and he was still tough even then. However, he would've been a great addition to my party. His Velius form was insane, to say the least. His overall physical presence in the game was frustrating to me, therefore; I did not like him.

Hmm. Tough question. I'd say, from least to most in the hatred department...
Algus- because he's a spoiled little snot. Dycedarg- because he makes elder brothers look bad Vormav- because he brands Ramza and company heretics to get what he wants Delita- because he's a lying, cheating, filthy, slimy dirtbag How's that? |

I'd have to agree w/ most of you...I hate Algus...when I first saw him shoot Teta, I got so pissed...well, I put don't move and don't act on him, and had a little fun murdering him...as I'm sure most of you did too

For all of you who hate delita, think about something. (im not sure what'll be considered a spoiler so i'll just put the whole post in it)
Possible spoilers: highlight to view Delita was just doing things the easy way. Killing people who are in your way, faking deaths, manipulating people, it is the easiest (though not most honorable) and best way to get on top, and to get what you want. In the end, Delita did the right thing. He brought peace back to Ivalice and put the best leader possible (Ovelia) in power (well, he put HIMSELF in power as its still disputable whether Ovelia dies). If Delita hadnt been there, sure, Ajora would be destroyed, but Ivalice would still be at war. If Delita had succeeded but Ramza failed, Ivalice would be peaceful until Lucavi raised his evil head.... so consider how much good Delita did next time you say you hate him. As for algus, im pretty sure he was under Dycedarg's influence. The only people i hate are his parents, who raised him believing they were superior to commoners. -------------------- No, really, they do. |

I agree Delita was great annndddd both Boco and Melidoul aren't npc's. Meliadoul did have her uses expecially in battles with Knight who need swords to use their skills. I know Orlandu can do the same but Meliadoul does come with a nice weapon.
 Not to run off subject  I hated Zalmo the most. There was no actual reason for him to be in the game plus he was tough to beat at times because of his move Hp-up skill and white-aid healing abilities.Possible spoilers: highlight to view It's a good thing that he was easy to kill at the Church. All that you needed was two lightning stabs from Agrias and Delita |

Ahem... I'd like to update my opinion on which npcs i despise most...
 I just finished a battle between me and a group of about 9 chocobos... i got slaughtered and saw my beloved ninja turn into a floaty blue crystal... Do chocobos count as NPCs in this thread? because i've come to the conclusion that Chocobos are on par with Algus in the asshole hall of fame  |

I think c-bos do. My most hated NPC, BTW, is the Shopkeeper. Why? I buy a sword, for 5000 Gp, when HE only pays 2500 for it!!! RIPOFF!!!

Algus is quite a dick, as are the brothers who are fighting each other for power. On the other hand, guys like them are brainwashed into thinking that way. They think they are the masters of their fate, but they are born into their position and die in their position, and are rarely given a chance to experience anything else.
Its pretty much the same with everybody in the game. That's what makes Ramza so admirable and Delita pitiable; Ramza willingly stepped out of his position when he opened his eyes and saw there was more to the world than status. Delita tried to break out his lesser status in life and was beat down so hard, its no wonder he snapped. And with everyone else in the game, they've all got believable reasons to be assholes. So I end up pitying them, more than hating them. I kill them anyway, but you know what I mean. And as far as Lucavi go, I kinda presume its just in their nature to be destructive. That said, I suppose I hate Celia and Lede, cuz they are so hot  , but they keep trying to kill me (now that's a wave of destruction that's easy on the eyes), and then they turn out to only be demons disguised as hot chicks. ARRGGH!!!And, yes I agree. Chocobos are great allies, but they've got to be the biggest assholes in the bestiary. I think I would have hated Algus more if he had been harder to beat. At the point in the game that you face him, crossbows are *not* a weapon to be feared. Besides, he only attacks Delita.

Algus is the first person introduced in the game that I disliked. I can't tell if he's trying to grope Ramza in those scenes or if it just looks that way.
Dycedarg would have to be second because he is a bastard. Third would be the music director because the soundtrack is so sexy. -------------------- Now the story's played out like this. Just like a paperback novel. Let's rewrite an ending that fits. |
