It's up for grabs then since I had the last question. I think the third X-Ether is in Umaro's Cave btw. It's strange that the Striker isn't unique considering it's role in obtaining Shadow...someone should take a screenshot of Shadow opening the treasure chest with Striker in it, that would be funny.

Strago, his limit/desperation attack I believe.

Gah...I had a good question, only to realize something almost identical to what I had in mind was already asked several pages back.
Since it'll likely take me a while to think of another one, I'll put this one up for grabs. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. Ok then.. since its up for grabs....
Here's a question in riddle format: Though we are dead, We're the essence of life. Our power immense, And the cause of much strife. Most can use us, Though some cannot, And of the first few are twins, One cold, one hot. Though we give life, If you win, we shall fade. Our spirits, like magic, Shall fall into shade. What are we? -------------------- Uwao. aooh! I'm Gau! I'm your friend! Let's travel together! |

Can you give us a hint? The "the first few are twins; one cold, one hot" part has me confuzzled.

Well, one of the first sets of the thing I am describing, you get two simultaneously. One of them embodies ice, the other flame.

Allow me to (female dog) about the fact that it doesn't necessarily have to involve Vanish/X-Zone. Any instant-death attack that stops the enemies final attack would work if Doom Gaze is under Clear: Cleave, Odin, Raiden and Snare would work just as fine. X-Fer, hypothetically, as well.
And for the guess, I'm guessing Magicite rather then Espers. Espers ain't necessarily dead, but Magicite is; plus, Ifrit 'nd Shiva would fit the description. -------------------- |

Hey, that was basically what I said. I just got the magicite thing a little backwards, otherwise I got it when I first looked at it.
The fade like magic line gives it away -------------------- I fear my heart and fear my soul Life goes on, it surely will, Without me and I wonder: Will I ever see light again? Life goes on... |

Since nobody has mentioned it yet, I will: There has been over 1000 posts in the FF6 trivia thread. Here's to 2000!
Here's a nice one from yours truly to celebrate: Edit I summoned Kirin, and as usual, its graphics appeared. However, there were no effects whatsoever. The effect of Kirin, e.a. the Regen status was not set on any possible target and Muddle/Charm was not involved, meaning that Kirin was directed at the party. Kirin is, ofcourse, heartbroken and feeling useless. It's up to us to make him feel better: can you explain why this happened? What are you considering a status 'ailment'? If everyone already had regen status then I think that would qualify as not doing anything.

A just thought of it, hurried back to the PC, hoped that nobody would've posted yet and...dang. Anyway, I've changed the question a little in order to be more clear on the subject, etc.

So does &q4ot;all targets already have regen status" qualify as an answer then? My memory tells me that HP leak also prevents the target from gaining regen status.

1stclass, you were far quicker then I had thought likely. When I said that the Regen status wasn't app}ied on any target, I meant exac ly that. However, I was talking about HP Leak. HP Leak/Seizure are the 2ame safe for one thing: HP Leak cannot be cured. Normally setting Regen over Seizure and vice versa would just set the new effect and eliminate the old one, bu` HP Leak cannot be cure0 and th$refore Kirin could not set the Regen status.
Hmph. I knew I should've asked the Golem question. She'll all yours now, 1stclass. And don't even think about chickening out on this one, since I'd like to see what kind of questions you have in store for us. -------------------- |

Oh great, you are expecting a good question when I'm totally unprepared. This one sucks, but I can't tihnk of anything better at the moment.
Edgar, Terra, Locke and Sabin reach the Returner Hideout. The guard says "right this way" and then the game goes into automatic mode while my party follows the guard to Bannon's room. All of a sudden, I am forced to reset my game because it is impossible to continue playing. The game didn't freeze up or crash, and this wasn't a glitch...so what happened? You hacked the game and put something in their way, so they couldn't go any further.

Close, but there are no hacks involved. This can happen when the game is functioning correctly and without interference.

As Detah would most likely tell you as soon as he saw this, this trivia thread handles the official game only, unless you mark the question with a big red IF and make clear that you're being hypothetical.
I can't see why 1stclass would make a question like that so I feel sure enough to say that this is not the case: the whole point of the trivia is that answers like this cannot be the case. -------------------- |
