Easy question:

How many different endings can you see? i.e. If Umaro is in your party or not, that make x2 more endings. (I hope that makes sense)

P.S.: I'm starting to run out of questions.

Ehr...let's see...

Everybody's there: 1
One with as many as possible missing: 1
Those with only one optional party member present: 12
Those with only two optional party members present: (12 x 11) 132
Those with only three optional party members present: (12 x 11 x 10) 1320

Etc...

479001600

And then there's the special endings, which include Relm without Strago, Celes without Locke and Edgar without Sabin. I'm not even starting to go there. It seems like millenia that I left high school and left this stuff behind.

A whole lot of endings, anyway.

|)arkShadow is right

Terra x1 (Terra is always in the endings)
Cyan x2
Shadow x2
Edgar and Sabin x2 (Edgar OR Edgar+Sabin)
Celes and Locke x2 (Celes OR Celes+Locke)
Strago and Relm x3 (Relm without Strago, Relm and Strago, neither Relm nor Strago)
Setzer x1
Gau x2
Mog x2
Gogo x2
Umaro x2

That makes 768.

|)arkShadow, we're waiting your question.

Assuming massive dinosaurs and bugs are not part of what you call 'strange species' , here's a list:

Chimera,
Behemoth,
Red Dragon/Blue Dragon,
Hoover (Sand Worm),
Oscars,
Cactrots,
Pug (Tonberry),
Flan (Blobra/Mousse),
Bomb,
Magic Urn,
Mover,
Veteran (Floating Eye)
And finally Atma/Ultima Weapon

There is one monster in the game that uses Pummel. To quote the Offspring:

Give it to me, baby.

Is it one of the human-like ones? Like Brawler, Iron Fists, etc?

No, it's not Vargas. Whether the enemy is humanoid or not is something I won't answer, but at least it's not Brawler or Iron Fist.

But a hint: Pummeling in general is done by fists. That might provide a clue.

it is the enemy "punisher," and the name "pummel" is misleading because the enemy does not perform the same pummel as sabin. sabin's pummel was named something along the lines of power rush in vij, and i have no idea what punisher's attack was named, but it was not power rush smile.gif

'Tis correct what gozaru~ said. It was just a think-around-the-corner question. gozaru~ gets the come up with the next one.

Oh yeah, the Punisher's special attack 'Pummel' is re-translated in 'Impose' by Sky Render (all hail to Sky Render).

Wasn't it just imposed that the questions should ONLY relate to FF VI? Also by paralle do you mean it has the same meaning or is the same word for word?

"Can I suggest no more questions that are that arcane solely for arcane's sake?"

"This is an FF6 Trivia thread in an FF6 forum. Please limit trivia questions to FF6 content only."

both referring to necessitating knowledge from ff3j. Star Wars (IV) is common knowledge. your bad if you don't know it. no, "i have a bad feeling..." is not the quote to which i was referring, but if no one can get the one i am talking about (which is an exact allusion instead of something people say all the time tongue.gif), then you can have the question after the time limit is up.

Biggs and Wedge are references to Biggs Darklighter and Wedge Antilles, two pilots from the original Rogue Squadron.

Edit
Oops, just realized you were asking for a quote. Sorry about that.

Celes: "Aren't you a little short for a soldier?"

* Dialogue only seen when rescuing Celes from the South Figaro basement dressed in the grunt uniform.

For the record: I haven't seen the original Star Wars since 1984, I just read an insane amount of FAQs on this game...

The burden now falls to me, it seems. I hope this one hasn't come up, for my memory is not quite solid enough to remember all of 24 pages' worth of posts. Easy question if you know your walkthroughs or have a saved game near the right spot... but it's little mysteries like these that I wish FF6 had given us more of.

One of the more obscure fragments of dialogue in the game speaks of treasures buried in the plaza beneath a grand stairway. Where is this said, and by whom? Name two of these treasures.

A vague description of the speaker and locale will do. To avoid this getting annoying, you may also give imprecise descriptions of the treasures.

To give it a final touch of spice, also tell us whether you usually get these or not.

Location: Cave of the Sealed Gate
Speaker: a Ninja

Items: you THINK you get: Inviz Edge, Water Edge, 2000 GP, a Remedy

Master ZED's Glitches and Bug document mentiones that these items are in fact other things: Inviz Edge, Water SKEAN (note the difference), a lot less GP (200 or something like that) and a Soft potion.

OK, clearly too easy. Congratulations.

On a side note, I know for certain that I get 2000 GP from my game. Either that, or I have a very bad memory.

Bad memory. You never checked the GP total afterward, and just took the text for granted. Everyone does though....

Okay, I have an ABSOLUTE BEAUTY for you guys. With a little luck, even Master ZED will learn something new from this.

Ready?

Imagine a party of four persons with the following special traits:

1st one: 128 % Magic Block
2nd one: Snow Muffler: absorbs Ice. No Magic Block at all.
3th one: just used Runic. No spell absorbed yet. No Magic Block at all.
4th one: is Raging the Magic Pot Rage. No Magic Block at all.

The enemy your facing does the following: it uses Cold Dust at all four party members, and then he uses Charm against all party members.

I don't need you to tell me how to kill this thing (the Freezing Boss topic was emberrasing enough, thank you). Just tell me, and be very exact about this, what happens to your party members.
