I'm guessing either Shadow or Gogo. You're sticking with FFVI right?

Yes, this is strictly FF6 Characters who are PLAYABLE ..

Lemme rephrase the question ..

The name of this Final Fantasy 6 Character is also the title of a 70's Era SitCom. There is only one answer, unless someone can prove me wrong..

Gogo, Shadow are not 70's SitComs ..

Note about "playability":
As Wedge's co-imperial soldier, Vicks is playable in the very beginning; his better-known alternative name (from the Japanese version, I believe) is Biggs.

You make a good point because as I said before, these are playable characters in Final Fantasy 6 .. which means NOT Final Fantasy 3 .. Yes, I know, same games, but with many differences in each ..

That's as far as the hinting goes.

Name all five enemies whose images were changed (hint: a.k.a. censored) when FFVIj was modified to become FFIIIus.

A note about standardization of enemy names: Since I am posing this quesiton, I will propose the naming scheme.
If you are referring to bosses that appear multiple times, please refer to which time, such as Ultros 3, Tritoch 2, Ziegfried 1, Guardian 2, etc..
If you are referring to the final battle, please use these names:
alpha long arm, alpha short arm, alpha head
beta tiger, beta hit, beta tools, beta magic
gamma bust, gamma sleep
Kefka 5

I hate to answer the question back to the person who answered mine before, but I believe I know this answer all to well.

Moderator Edit
Answer removed. The rules have been changed, and answering a question when you answered before the previous question is prohibited in this topic. Let other people in, too. If nobody gets it within the two day limit that R51 proposed, feel free to post it. But until then, it's up to others.

Oh... My bad, I guess.

Probably any female enemies...

Barb-e/Madam/palette swaps
Critic
Goddess (statue)
Any of the tiers on the last boss

I CAN'T think of any other ENEMIES... besides palette swaps I missed or one last guess as Shiva.

Side note: My friend in Programming class told me a bunch of changes, also mentioning some of the Espers were censored, like Siren and Starlet I think.

Remember that I said ENEMIES--espers like Sraphim, Starlet, and Siren don't count because they aren't enemies. Shiva is not a correct answer.

Also, (BIG HINT) note that I wrote out the some names to the enemies in the final battle.

Barb-e and Madam were not changed.

And HINT: one of them is NOT a female enemy.

Yeah, the question's incorrect as well because the count is more than 5, my recollection says at least 6. Dahling, Barb-e, Madam, L.80 Magic, Critic, and Goddess are the ones I remember, along with Starlet and Siren on the Esper side.

As for any others, I never looked into it. I was never one to violently protest Nintendo's wacko censorship ways.

Also, the final boss names really don't need a naming scheme since they're unique and plus, if someone got curious about them and tried to look them up, the alpha/beta/whatever stuff is going to mess with them if they don't see that post (and someone WILL miss it, it's near inevitable). As for Kefka, final Kefka will do, as everyone will know what you're talking about there, that's how I've always referred to him. Kefka 5 may throw people since they may not know what the intended reference is. If you absolutely need to designate the final bosses some other way, just give the tier number, no need to create entirely new verbage for one thread only.

I'm sorry I was probably using a less-than-reliable source for my information. But (just to get everyone on the same page) the information (graphics-wise) I am using comes from the enemies list at the rpgclassics.com FFVI shrine.

The alpha/beta/gamma scheme was used by ffonline.com in its boss listing for FFVI. I merely changed "gamma girl" to "gamma bust" and "alpha face" to "alpha head".

Madam (and all related sprites) was changed. There used to be smoke coming out of the pipe. Goddess was censored. Let's see... Critic yep. I think "gamma sleep" was changed, and... um Kefka 5? Or Moe maybe?

Um, then why would you change that even further? "Bust" is not an enemy, like I said, that could lead to confusion easily.

Oh, yeah... you could try this source too: http://teriisenshi.web1000.com/

Off of which I was reminded of who I missed; Chadarnook's woman form, which makes me wrong too because that's 7, not 6. Well "fah!" to my accursed memory! tongue.gif

Okay, I've changed my answer to include the madam palette swaps. But other thanthose, there are five distinct enemies whose pictures were changed.

And as long as you can make it clear which enemy you're referring to, that's good enough. You don't have to use my naming scheme; it's just one that I personally prefer.

Definitely wrong answers: Kefka 5 (final), Moe. None of the repeating enemies were censored (to my knowledge).

Hint: Look closely at some enemies. Three of them are not at all obvious, one of whom is the non-female enemy. The other two are well-known. All five have been mentioned or hinted at already.

Hint: They're all in the World of Ruin.

You know if anyone knows where to find a FF6 Japanese ROM, let me know, because I would like to actually see what these Sprites look like, I've always wondered..

.. And since this is cleared, wouldn't that mean the question's on you ZED?

I'm not going to clear it just yet. Two of the enemies still haven't been explicitly mentioned, and I would prefer somebody put in all five enemies into his/her own post to make it easier to say "that person gets to go next".

Living Tribunal: Look at the page I linked to in my previous post, as the monsters section uses the original pics of each of the censored monsters (if CoN doesn't already, I can't remember offhand if the monsters section has pics or not), and there's an original graphics patch there that you can use to restore those monsters in FF3us.

Wow, guys. happy.gif() Do you think maybe we could ask each other questions that don't require a huge debate about what the *real* answer is? It's a trivia game, right? So ask things that have clear-cut answers. This thread is ridiculous.

Name every character that can fight on your side in battle. Note that enemies "fighting" with you (such as if you use Gau's rages that use Love Token) do not count. These are characters that start on your side and you can see them in the menu. And notice the underlined NAME. Note that these are to occur during the normal course of the game, and not with any cheating devices.
