Quote (MogMaster @ 6th April 2004 01:52)
What lore is goten from a creature in WOB narshe? name the creature and rage.

MogMaster asked what WoB Narshe creature gives a Lore spell. The second half indicates that it is learned only from a Rage. So, the question actually is:

"The Rage from a WoB Narshe monster teaches a Lore. What is the name of the monster and what is the Rage/Lore move?"

My apologies to MogMaster for rewording his question, but I felt it was necessary after seeing several posts with answers that were not even related to the question.

Now, as far as my answer goes, I agree with ffpianomaster's answer.

It's not even my turn, because I gave the same answer as ffpianomaster (and several hours after him - I didn't see his answer, I was too eager to answer). But it's up to Mog Master to decide who's next.

The answer i was thinking of was the Lore Blizzard. Vomamoth. Edgars Fan club got it.

IM THE MAN! uh huh. Did i mention im not arrogant either. Very Modest.

to bad the man doesn't have any good questions. Farely simple but here you go. What lore is goten from a creature in WOB narshe? name the creature and rage.

Blizzard is NOT a Lore in FF6.

There are 24 Lores in FF6. Aero, Aqua Rake, Big Guard, Blow Fish, Clean Sweep, Condemned, Dischord, Exploder, Forcefield, Grand Train, L3 Muddle, L4 Flare, L5 Doom, L? Pearl, Pearl Wind, Pep Up, Quasar, Reflect???, Revenge, Rippler, Roulette, Sour Mouth, Step Mine, Stone. As you can see, Blizzard is not there.

The only answer that could satisfy your poorly worded question is really 1st Class's Stone. 1st Class appears in the Narshe Mines.

I have no idea where you were going with this question.

A lot of people mistake enemy magic as Lores, because they are classified as Blue magic spells when cast, even though only those mentioned above are learnable by Strago.

Even if you consider Blizzard a lore, I still don't see how it answers the question. The question asks which one you can get, you can't get Blizzard.

In this post I will list all the enemies encountered in WoB Narshe, town and caves (excluding the battle with Kefka, since MogMaster notified me of this condition in chat), what attacks they use (other than physical attacks and normal magic), and what sketch, control, and rage produce from them.

I will denote magic with @ and blue magic (recognizable by that blue triangle when Gau/Gogo/Strago casts it) with *. Those blue magic spells that can be learnt as lores are indicated with an extra star (i.e., **). (For those attacks that I'm not sure being just a skill or a blue magic, I've indicated (*?).)

Additionally, I've highlighted learnable lores with bold font and other blue magic (the ones that I'm certain of) with italic font.

In Narshe and the Caves of Narshe:
1st Class: Ore Wrench* (attack, sketch, control); Stone** (rage)
Dark Side: Slip Touch(*?) (attack, sketch, control); Fire 3@ (sketch, control); Ice 2@ (rage)
Guard: Critical (attack, rage)
Lobo: Tusk (attack, sketch, control, rage)
Marshal: Net* (attack), Charge(*?) (attack, sketch, control); Bolt 3@ (control); Wind Slash* (rage)
Repo Man: Wrench* (attack, sketch, control); Flare@ (sketch); Exploder** (rage)
Rinn: Slow@ (sketch, control); Fire@ (rage)
Spectre: Fire@ (sketch, control, rage)
Tritoch: doesn't attack and doesn't appear on the Veldt
Vaporite: Slow@ (sketch, control); Blaze* (rage)
Vommamoth: Bear Claw(*?) (attack?, sketch, control); Blizzard* (sketch, control, rage)
Were-Rat: Bite (attack, sketch, control); Poison@ (rage)
Whelk: Mega Volt* (attack)
(whelk head): none
Wild Rat: Scratch (attack, sketch, control)

Edit: added emboldening and italization.
Edit2: Whoops! I forgot to credit my source: Zeppelin's shrine for FFVI at www.rpgclassics.com. It's rivals CoN in its usefulness, and has a very humorous walkthrough. Thank you very much!

Edit
I have the distinct feeling that this weird situation will be decided by a moderator.

Actually, Strago knows Stone when you get him. Therefore, based on Glenn Magus Harvey's list, the only possible right answer here is ffpianomaster's answer of Repo Man's Exploder, unless MogMaster actually meant something completely different by his question.

Here's my question (because the two-days limit passed):

When you go to Kefka Tower, you split into three groups 1-2-3 (from left to rght) . Which group will fight which statue?

It depends on how you do the part where you push down the weights. Group 2 starts in the middle and can go either left or right. If group 2 goes to the left, group 1 goes to the right, and group 3 goes up the middle. If group 2 goes to the right, group 3 goes to the left and group 1 goes up the middle.

Doom is on the left. Poltrgeist is in the middle and Goddess is on the right.

Ok it's fun time kiddies! 3 characters have forgotten their names! Now they're all sad but I have good news. I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico. No that's not it. Oh yeah! The letters of these characters' names have been scattered into this phrase that makes no sense but pretend it does: "mega ultros rag". Can you help them? You need to get 3 names out of this phrase, identify the characters behind the names and then tell these characters what their names are.

The answer consists of 3 characters from the main playable set of 14 characters.

2 day limit is up again. Why aren't you people coming back after posting replies?

I have a dead character (his graphic is all greyed out) in my party and his current hp displays 9999. How is this possible? Which character is it?

Note: My trivia questions never involve hacks or glitches. The answers to my questions are never 'you are lying' or 'it can't be done.'

Is it Gau after he has done a rage of an Undead monster?

No. When Gau RAGEs an undead monster, he does not 'die', he just gains the Undead status.
When combat is over, his status becomes normal and his HP remain unchanged.
This has nothing to do with the Undead status.

Wait...you say his is all greyed out, which doesn't occur when a character has the Wounded status. It occurs only when the character has Petrified status. Then it could be any character who isn't protected against Petrify.

On the other hand, you might have a zombie that has been healed. I've never tried healing a zombie in FFVI before, but in FFV, it's possible to have a zombie with full HP. The zombie just doesn't die after being hit down to 0.

I am talking about WOUND status, meaning that the character has been brought to 0 hp. But I have created a unique situation where I have given that character 9999 current hp. This has nothing to do with the Petrify/Stone status. But that is a good guess. In FF6 you cannot heal a Zombie character. Furthermore, the answer to my question has nothing to do with Zombie status.

Perhaps you should ask a question that anyone can answer, with a little bit of thinking. This question only applies to those who know the game's system and codebase inside and out, and can deduce whatever it is you're talking about here. Forget this question, try asking something else, eh?

This has nothing to do with the game's inner workings or gamecode. This is something that you can encounter quite easily during a normal playthru. And yes, it does require some thought on your part. Theres nothing tricky about it. It's just something that most people wouldn't think about trying.
