There isn't any formation with 2 Jokers and a Ralph, so you can't fight a battle with them anywhere. But, if you mean 1 Joker and a Ralph, there's 3 little islands southeast of the Veldt where you can fight Veldt monsters on.

GoGo, he said that he didnt fight them in the vedlt and there is a formation of 2 jokers and a ralph.. .in WoB

o well heres my guess. you had Gogo use control on an enemy and made it summon two jokers and a ralph and killed off all the monsters that arent ralphs and jokers?
is THAT right?

P.S Im not sure there is a monster that can summon... o well is it correct?

P.P.S o yea and is mayhaps a word?

According to ff3usme there is no formation with 2 jokers and a ralph, only formation 147 which has one of each; And I wasn't sure if those islands counted as the Veldt, since they're not part of the mainland.

There is infact such a formation. Many formations dont occur in the us that appeared in japan.

Okay, I'm probably wrong here... but here goes:

You're playing FF6j.

You did the opera house bug bringing you back to the WoB.

You somehow got back to Vector continent and are fighting these guys (I think the Joker is that guy with an umbrella, and Ralph is a bulldog type ennemy). Am I close?

Care to back this claim up?

And WebGraphics: he said he DIDN'T use that bug.

Then it would have to be on some island that for some reason still has WoB encounters on it? If not that it would have to have something to do with the Sketch command. I'm stumped...

Or it could just be the battle background he's referring to, in which case he's just fighting on the Veldt's destroyed landscape or using a Dance to change the background so he's "no longer on the Veldt".

Of course, take the question literally, and the answer is that it's a trick question as there is no such formation so to fight it would require hacking.

As far as I remember, there IS such a formation. I have no idea what the answer is here, though...

Let's see, though... No glitches/hacks of any kind, WoR, not on Veldt, Not in Colosseum (only has single enemies, anyway).

Hmm... No clue... blink.gif

If I'm remembering correctly ( and I may not be), the Joker is a guy with an umrella, right? And Ralph is a giant bull dog?

If I remember correctly these two enemies appear together, near Vector in the WoR. I'm not sure if there is a 2 Joker 1 Ralph situation, but I am pretty sure there is a situation where you fight multiple Jokers and 1 Ralph.

So my guess is that you are dancing, and so the background is changed. You just killed a couple Jokers, leaving two.

However, it was MZed who first said the dancing thing, so credit must go to him.

Hmm as to the remark of backing it up. Try playing the Japanese game and fighting around vector. It happens. What return to the WOb Trick btw?

Maybe it's tricked just because he used mog's dances to change background ( or go to a island around the veldt just to say that he isn't ON the veldt) and SKETCH a joker so that there's two jokers for a short moment.

EDIT: My first post ever! Snif, this reminds me so many things...

nobody is even close to right, random ideas are just being thrown out. every single thing in the question is to be taken at face value, dont read things into it, and if those couple islands have the same deal as the veldt does, that counts as being the veldt. i wouldnt play the jap version because i cant read japanese, so i really dont wanna sit and look at japanese text all day.

the last hint i'll give up is that gogo didnt really NEED to be in my party for me to come up with this, i just wanted to make it explicitly clear that i had indeed been in the WoR.

the best part to me is that ZED has more or less spelled out plain as day what the deal is, but everyone just keeps on going.

if everyone gives up, ill shout out the answer to my question and give it to the person with the nearest answer.

Uh huh... and you think I DIDN'T check this out before saying there was no such formation?

1 Joker/1 Ralph exists, but there is no 2 Joker/1 Ralph in FF3us or FF6j. In fact, there aren't any formation differences between the two games. Any battle in FF6j still exists in FF3us.

well everyone, if you havent yet guessed, i was lying. required the least amount of research out of any question asked yet.

take it away ZED.

hmmm... alright check this one out:

my party is setzer (naturally), terra, gogo and locke. obviously i went through the floating continent business already because i have gogo. as you would imagine, i have the falcon. im fighting an enemy party consisting of two jokers and a ralph, but i am NOT on the veldt. i didnt do the trick to return to the WoB from the WoR. i am not playing a hacked game, nor am i using a game genie or anything of that like.

what is going on here?

Interestingly enough, he made a statement, and the actual question was "What is going on here?" The answer, of course, is that he's lying. That's what's going on. tongue.gif It isn't exactly fair as far as FF6 questions goes, but it was an excellent trick question.

Well done. thumbup.gif

MogMaster: Now do you believe me? tongue.gif

SB: He WOULD, but I was closer since I said it could be a trick question. Had I just called him a liar (which wouldn't have happened, admittedly I thought he wanted a legitimate answer whether the formation existed or not), there would be no debate.

Anyway, had randy given a different formation, the question would have had a valid answer. Leafer/Dark Wind would have made for a good question even though it's in the glitches and bugs guide.

So let's see everyone's knowledge on the battle system itself this query; Gogo just used Runic, but shouldn't be capable of doing so because it didn't have any weapons equipped when it used the technique. Explain.

Quote (From the next version of the Glitches and Bugs guide)
Swordless Runic -

Runic and SwdTech both share a trait in that they both require weapons to make them
available for use in battle.  SwdTech works properly; no/improper weapon, no SwdTech.
Runic is faulty however, in that if a character is acting automatically (Collosseum,
Muddled, Charm), that character can use Runic regardless of equipment.

The *only* instance I can think of where SwdTech can disobey this rule is when Cyan makes his mad charge into the Imperial camp right before you climb into the MagiTek armors (dequip his sword before you finish the fight with Leader). However, that's because the command script is telling him to use Dispatch, and from there such restrictions wouldn't matter.

Ok heres a pretty simple one:

I have one party member who has no equipment on except for 1 thing. the equiptment is not an esper. I have one party member fighting 2 enemies and i learned Xzone. IRemember, I only have 1 peice of equipment and fighting ONLY two battles.
How am I doing this?

EDIT: O yea and that character can be any character execpt for umaro, and starts out with 0 ap for Xzone

In the Colosseum, if you bet a Phenoix Down, you must fight a Cactrot, and the prize is a Magicite.

How can you win this battle on your first attack 100% of the time?

Been a long time since I played the game, but I thought Gogo couldn't learn magic on his own, and just knew every other spell other charecters had at the time.... Been along time since I played through the game, and longer since I used Gogo, so I may be wrong....
