Edit
The "TERRA" attack is an attack. Kefka moves forward strikes with his weapon, steps back, it targets one character, then the miss message appears below the character. Check it out for yourself, its fun to see unique things like this at least once. Thats why its trivia.

Inferno is dark grey. Glenn's thinking of Number 128.

Wart Pug... well, it's Wart Puck. I guess that's close enough. So Detah has the next question.

Barb-E, Suriander, Samurai. I know there's another one, but those are three I can think of.

Detah: Which Kefka? Is it a character version, like you imply, or is it one of the two monster forms?

Good job Neal. Barb-E, Suriander, Samurai and RainMan are the 4 critters which appear in both areas.

'Kefka at the Caves to the Sealed Gate' is as specific as I can be. Right after the airship crashes in the WOB, go to Vector, do the Banquet scene, go to the Imperial Base cross the mini town to exit on the other side of the town and get to the Cave to the Sealed Gate. Watch a little cut scene where the Cave mouth is filled with rocks. Then Kefka appears and you enter a short and pointless battle. Kefka throws lots of weenie spells and physical attacks at you. Then on the 7th round he uses an attack called "TERRA", he steps forward and steps back very quickly, no sword or other weapon graphic is visible, then the miss text appears and thats it. Very lame-0 for a totally unique attack in the game. I do not know what or why the programmers were doing with that attack. Perhaps they got it confused with the scene where the party yells Terra on the Narshe cliffs. In any case it is cool to see something unique like that at least once. The attacks are so weak they barely affected my low-level-game party with mostly L6s.

Here's a situation for my trivia question, which unfortunately is a yes or no answer: Terra is going to cast an esper. While she's chanting, someone casts silence on her. She steps forward to cast the esper, raises her arms, but since she's silenced, nothing happens. She steps back. Normally espers cannot be cast more than once per battle -- if she is unsilenced, will that rule still apply?

Yes, because once she attempts the Esper the rule goes into effect, not once the Esper arrives.

No, she would be able to cast again, the Esper command isn't nulled until the esper is actually cast

Spoons is right. If Terra is unsilenced, she can cast again. This happened to me very recently on the Floating Continent, I had her set to summon Phantom but got silenced. So I unsilenced her, tried again, and it was successful.

I believe it was either Boar or Pig, simply because Shoat is like a little baby Piggy or something.

Spoons doesn't have access to a computer until Monday, but Catoblepas is right, so it's i90's question.

Hay Maker is the attack I remember. He used it often on his own command and often for a counterattack.

It also used Meteor, and was a real bitch to encounter in Kefka's Tower and get meteor'd before you could do much.

In sticking with the vein of special attacks, what is Gigantos' special attack?

Also, I'd like to propose an addendum to the rules -- it'd be nice if person A didn't answer a trivia question if person B asking the current question answered person A's previous question. If that doesn't make sense, it just means that it can't go between two people all the time. I don't think it's happened yet, but this is just to keep it from happening. smile.gif

When we say "special attack" we're referring to the named attack that's usually exclusive to each enemy. Examples include Guard's Critical, Soldier's Counter, Templar's Axe and Stray Cat's Catscratch. Multiple enemies can do Magnitude8. It's just a spell.

Oooh. I never really think about those, they're usually not much. They're mainly physical attacks with a special name and graphic, but I always think of Magnitude8 or Meteor as their special attack.

I wanted to think of something hard for ya', but nothing comes to mind so I had to settle with this.

This Final Fantasy Character's name was a SitCom in the 70's.. Any one know which one?
