2 Half-potions x 0.5

Sweet! Two half half-potions! Or is that one half of two half-potions? tongue.gif

All right, this is a three-part question.
1) What's the most expensive item you can find in a treasure chest?
2) Where is that chest?
3) If you were to sell this item, how many Potions could you buy with the proceeds from the sale?

Nope, but you're not too far off. Make sure you don't confuse Potions and Tonics, too!

Your math is better this time, but still not correct, although since I didn't ask for a remainder, I won't count it against you. tongue.gif But there's a more expensive item out there still...

What editor lets you see/mess with the chest contents? I thought that was something that wasn't well understood yet...?

I'm basing my answer on FAQs and my memory of the game, so it's possible that I (and the several FAQs I checked) are wrong, but I'm fairly sure that there's at least one more expensive item in a chest in the game.

If you want a not-particularly-cryptic hint:

It's underground, near a bird.

No, there's no such thing as an editor that allows you to change chest contents, as it's hardly understood.

See, I would guess a Gravity Rod too, but I haven't checked anything. If you would be nitpicky, you could argue that it's actually a Crystal Mail
, which can be sold for 8500 GP which would be 8500/300 = 28 Potions

Yeah, Storm Drgn jumps out of a chest and you can morph him into a Crystal Mail wink.gif

But that's kinda of a lame answer, I know. I wouldn't know what appears in chests and beats the 6500 a Gravity Rod would bring you. The Pearl Rod, although stronger, is less expensive.

No, I very much doubt he'll accept that answer as it's most likely not what he was thinking of. And keep in mind that he's asking "if you should sell it". You'll only get half the price if you sell something, duder. 17000/2 =8500, like I said.

And necromancer's creep is correct, more or less!

The item I was looking for is indeed the Crystal Mail found in Darill's Tomb (good job with my cheesy hint!) While Djibriel is correct that you only get half-price when selling the item, the "trick" part of the question is that you can go to Figaro Castle with Edgar and buy Potions for half-price, so 56 Potions is still the correct number.

(OK, so was this just a really lame question or what? unsure.gif )

The first one you can reach in WoR is North-West of Tzen. You can get there crossing a small strip of land past the mountains just north of Tzen.

After taking the raft off the island, you land at Albrook, which is just south of Kefka's Tower. Tzen, is just north of Kefka's Tower. It's where you may choose to get Sabin to join your team.

I've looked EVERYWHERE for that Chocobo Stable "west" from that first town. Please let me know where it is. I've looked EVERYWHERE....

Since Tzen is the first place you can visit in the WoR that actually progresses the plot (more or less) it could be looked at as the first town you head to, which has the stable northwest of it. And as we know, there is no stable immediately west of Albrook. Regardless, I don't know about anyone else but it looks to me like Fadien answered correctly first.

Ah well. Somebody ask a question...

Yep, it's Strago in the FF3 instruction book. I dunno if you absolutely need GMH's confirmation, but I can confirm this answer.
