FFX. It actualy allowed you to controll your characters actions. and in FFX-2 you just watch it, and that is a bit boring.

FFX.
FFX-2 tried to improve upon what was literally 'perfect' in the previous installment and failed. Once again, by trying to add functions into something that offputs a lot of people because it already has enough, Square makes a 'boring' sidequest even moreso. Of course, saying 'having fun playing blitzball' in the first place is almost an oxymoron ![]() -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

Blitzball in X was fun at first for me. But after your team gets remotely good, it is extremely easy...and therefore boring.

FFX-2 Blitzball was unbelievably irritating. I can't believe Square tried to "improve" upon a fairly successful sidequest by taking AWAY control from you the user. Do they honestly think that watching your team play is more fun than actually playing? It's like buying Madden Football, and then putting two computers against each other and watching it all day. Boring.

They both had their good points. FFX allowed you to get in there and actually do something, while FFX-2 did it more in the style of Championship Manager, except with a lot less things to do. So FFX gets my vote. Like Tidu-who said, who would rather spend all day making an ass-groove in a bench rather than hurling a huge, heavy ball at random people.

I really couldn't figure out either one of them, but my boyfriend really liked the Blitzball game in FFX, and he's the one who played it for me to get Wakka's stuff. Even he didn't like the FFX-2 version, though. I don't like mini-games much in general, but FFX-2's blitzball didn't even seem like a game. More like...a way for the video game engine to show how cool it was against itself.

FF-X, simply because you could use Tidus. Jecht Shot ruled.
