I haven't seen any forums on the great game Xenogears sad.gif . Well, NOW THERE IS biggrin.gif !!! Just wondering who do yall think is the coolest character in Xenogears. Mine will always be Grahf or ID, the ones who only believe in power. But I want to hear everyone elses opinion. It is time to give some tribute to this almighty game.

I only played a little bit of Xenogears, but I liked Citan. I think that was his name, anyway.

I couldn't get into that game at all. happy.gif

Don't say what? I'm not allowed to like Citan? blink.gif

I didn't see much of the other characters. The main guy seemed kinda lame, and the one girl was just dumb. I know that doesn't tell anyone a whole lot, but I don't remember the names anymore. happy.gif() Sorry.

I've always held Xenogears in a particular distaste. Something about the butchering of pseudo-philosophy gave me the distinct impression of a work which tried to be profoundly philosophical, and ended up trite and presumptuous. Though some of the battles were fun, and the music was fantastic, I can't say I liked the game much at all.

That being said, Citan Uzuki/Hyuga Ricdeau was my favorite character of the bunch. His story, while convoluted like the rest, was just clever enough to capture my attention, and he had a cool intellectual swordsman's demeanor that really appealed to me.

Everyones a critic dry.gif . Oh well, the thing is you have to play it all the way through. The story line gets more complex. I too admit that in the beginning I didn't like the game that much. But by the time I got half way through it, I placed it at the top of my list. Unless you play the game through, you will never understand why it is considered one of Square Softs greatest hits.
