Heh, my only beef so far is Aegis Armor and Helmet. The etymology allows for only one item, usually a shield. happy.gif

Looks pretty good, glad you came by to show us, hope you stick around.

yah, i agree about the aegis armor. the aegis was zeus' shield, with the gorgon medussa's head attached to it.
how about paladin armor?

I remember reading that the Aegis was Athena's shield, by the way. Maybe you could make it "Adamant"?

I'm going to have to try this user posted image
Adamant armor/helmet would be good, but I do like the idea of having a full set of Paladin equipment.

'Twas both, according to my reading up on it. Adamant's not a bad idea, either.

I think this should probably be moved to the creations forum, now that I think about it.

I don't like many of your misc. changes, like no battle music against monster parties of three or less (one question: WHY?). Other than that, it's good, and I see some similarities with my own hack in there (actually, only one tongue.gif). FINISH, FINISH.

Not to my knowledge, and I doubt it's currently possible.

Some people in another forum suggested that the battle music gets too repetitive after a while. In 10 second battles, is it really worth interupting the overworld music? Our thinking was that it's not.

Can you change the battle music for the Leo/Kefka battle to continue Kefka's theme? (It's originally the regular battle theme, but I don't think that's really a good choice.)

Paladin Ring and Czar Dragon is enough for me to give it a try.

Here's an idea.. for acquiring the Paladin Ring..

In order to receive it, you must hold the Cursed Ring for 255 battles, similar to acquiring the Paladin Shield.

Just an idea.

If you want to do that, and have full Paladin equipment like dragonhawk and I suggested, you could replace a few of the other more useless items for full Cursed equipment as well, and to transform them, equip them for 256 battles, like the Shield. Only catch is, you can only have one transformation, meaning, you have to equip the Cursed equipment all at once to get all of the Paladin equipment.

Unfortunately your imaginations are exceeding my capabilities.

Well at any rate I'm very excited. I just finished the final boss.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
Kefka is perfect. It's a different experience every time you fight him.

I need to work tonight, and while I'm there I'll contemplate any other things I need to do to the game before releasing it. I'll also check this forum as well.

Prospective names for the "Aegis Armor" include:
"Paladin Armr"
"Paladin Suit"
"Ruby Armor"

Item names are allotted 12 characters including the space. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Hopefully I'll be able to return the favor smile.gif

Ok after 2 1/2 months of hard work I'm done! I tried to squash all of the bugs but if any linger, let me know. I'll fix the problem and you can continue your game with the fixed rom file. I don't expect any big problems though. Well have fun! I'll be here for advice. cool.gif

Do you have an IPS patch for it, or just the full ROM?

It should be easy enough for someone to create an IPS patch, which we could then link to here. Any takers?

Yes, Tiddles has sorted the reason that I am asking. I would like to be a mirror for your game, but we no longer host ROMs, just patches. We just need to find someone who could create the patch based on your work.

When I say someone can do it, I really mean anyone can do it. You just need a simple program (SNESTool can do it I think), an original ROM and the modified one. Then you just press a button and it makes a patch based on the difference.

Just so you know, on your main page, under the Ruby Armor and Helmet descriptions, you still called them Aegis.

I don't see that option in the FF3usME editor.

I played a little bit of it nearly 12 hours ago (Feels like so far away... x.X ), and it's pretty interesting. happy.gif

Stepping up the difficulty should add some fun to the game, now I just gotta find the time to put into playing it. ^^;

I wish, but no. I'm hoping that some expert hacker will be able to find the problems and come up with a patch sometime. The sketch bug needs to be fixed too.

They already have. I saw a site with all sorts of hacks that fixed all sorts of things, including all that has been listed here. I'll try to find it and get back in a couple of days.
So Magic evade is still important here?
What's the Blind bug?
