Richard Baker ([email protected]) - http://us.geocities.com/rbff3man/indexb.html has since found the most amazing FF3 secrets that I know of anywhere, so far. So, is any of that possible at all? I think that it all is, partly because the boss enemy that he mentions with the Opera House secret area is also mentioned with #477 Veldt game genie code - http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/file/f..._game_genie.txt smile.gif. I also wonder if that it's possible if that that bit about having Cyan stay with Terra while the others go to the Opera House itself mentioned at the beginning of section #5 - http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/file/f...ntasy_iii_d.txt is possibly another one of those secret areas, maybe? Yet, I've already tried play testing both version 1.0 and version 1.1 rom files of FF3 to find out for myself, and yet to no avail.

No matter what I do in the game, that the music doesn't speed up at all, and that I can't get manual control of Celes one bit. I wonder if that it has anything to do at all with inputting the debug code first, watching what I do and don't do in the game up to the Opera House, and/or who that I'm supposed to take to the Opera House; factors about the game like that. So, that anything and everything that you guys can tell Richard Baker and I about any and all of this will be seriously and greatly appreciated, trust me about that one. Hopefully, no responses to this will be that you guys are saying that all of it's glitches and nothing more, or that none of it's possible at all either. >Danny<

I can unfortunately.

I'll be nice for once and say that reading through sites like CoN's FF6 section (yes, the board you're visiting has a website attached), my site (in the sig), and Terii's should help much more than that rumor mill listed in the first post. I recommend never going there again.

But do stay away from CoN's Rumor section should you decide to look around here. No one needs another Tiamat topic and I don't really trust that you will find and read the disclaimer in time to stop yourself from finding a treasure trove of priceless embarrassment.

i feel like i have to ask, did anyone fall for that. i mean come on, i may have actually believe it if it did not involve nintendo mysteriously destroying his papers about the so-called debug code. oh, but maybe the reason no one enters that site (check out their low counter) is because that the gov is jamming their signal and we're lucky enough to get in because the gods of FF like us.

so many references blink.gif
Useally, i do not troust these random secret i find in the website, but i was curious about one of them.
Zed, is it possible for characters to use almost anyskill with combinition of a glitch, a little hacks, and cheat codes? I've seen some rumors saying it's possible to do that while equiping particular item on particular place (like ragnarok on relic or something), and most of them creates bugs, but some allow u to use moves only monsters get to use. The link i had to that site does not work anymore, I'll try to look for mirror sites someday, but is that possible?

With hacking, you or the enemy can use any move. I don't need glitches to produce a new attack, but it's not like it would do much harm to do so at times, ex., my DeBarrier spell as used by Kimerus 2 uses the X-Zone graphic for the express purpose of protecting K2 from idiot hackers that would seek to use the same spell on her. If used on monsters, that version of DeBarrier will render the enemy untargetable by manual means. It wasn't intended to be as such, but it's a nice side bonus. smile.gif

As for glitches, I have heard of and seen the Sketch bug mess up the Magic list, one famous example I've heard of being that the list was rewritten to include Quasar and HyperDrive. As for strange item equips, anything equipped as a weapon that isn't one will produce a glitch result, though you will want to equip an item as a shield so your glitch weapon isn't treated like one. Obviously, without hacking, the only way you'll see glitch weapons is in FF6j with the Equip Anything bug.

You mean Neal's version of how to revive General Leo is not true? But I was so looking forward to revealing Locke as the dirty alien that he is.

confusing,...i guess i can't argue with professionals. biggrin.gif

This one person shared his ideas (which i disagree about)saying that evade in ff6 does not work, but only Mevade.
here's the quote

"Evade does not work properly in FFVI! The game uses MBlock instead of Evade for most attack when determining a dodge... (though I think there is always a small chance of blocking with a shield.)

But try this sometime: equip a character with items that raise MBlock greatly (Force Armor, Aegis Shield, etc.) and go into combat. See how much better they block/dodge attacks... it's crazy!"

i do not think that's true, but except using experience, there's no way i can tell for 100% is this true zed?

2. i think i heard this from one of your page saying that blind doesn't work in ff6, does it? blink.gif

128 M.Block is one of the cheapest defenses anywhere for that very reason. Evade does not work, and in turn, M.Block not only blocks magical attacks, but takes on Evade's job as well. At 128, it will block everything possible (i.e. anything affected by Evade/M.Block). On a fixed game, M.Block will block all magical attacks at 128, Evade with physical attacks.

Dark and other ailments/effects are affected by the bug as well. Dark's only purpose is to keep Strago from learning Lores. Other than that, it doesn't matter at all.

You can read my glitch FAQ (located at my site), Terii's algorithms FAQ, or the description for his Evade bugfix patch (both located on his site, the algorithms FAQ is also found on GameFAQs) for more info concerning the bug.
