Out of curiosity, has anyone ever found a FFVI script or book on-line?
I remember finding something somewhere... Plus, there's this one place that has the entire FFIV script, but I forget where that's at. |

I don't remember exactly where I found it, but I found a Jap-Eng translation and it's the entire script (in the order found in the ROM, so somewhat scattered), but it's good. It's a bit different from the FF3us script; it's better, actually. If you want you can PM me with your email address and I'll send it to you.

Iggy, my thanks is due, and I express it. The script is about 53 pages on my Microsoft Word program in size 8 font. I figure if the script were to be printed in book form, it would make a nice novella. I wonder if the script for Final Fantasy VII is actually up somewhere? I was surprised to find several CDs of music were put out for FFVI around the time that the game came out (they're good). Well, thank you Iggy!

Quote I figure if the script were to be printed in book form, it would make a nice novella. OK, it's obvious to some of us (namely, me.) that you don't check the Site Submissions forum a whole lot. My FFVI novel is coming along, and I don't think that another one has ever been finished. But anyway, cool Iggy. That'll probably help in my writing, if the script is indeed accurate. Figaro, I laughed, but read further.
Iggy, I just finished reading those 53 pages, which is to say I just read the entire FFVI script that is on that site you linked me to. I enjoyed reading it so much. Despite it being some 7 years old, I really do still love that game, and I realize now that only a few plot details are incorrect. How did the Final Fantasy characters know what Cyan's handwriting looked like? It took me about five hours to read it. I feel like I've just read the only good novel I've read in a long time. Figaro, you have three chapters up there right now, right? You are right that I don't check the Site Submissions forum a whole lot. I was impressed with the FFVI art a lot, though, especially the one where Relm draws a picture of a moogle. Continue with your book for as long as you desire. By the way, the script is indeed accurate. It has less than ten errors in it, and if you know the FFVI game as well as I do, you will pull out those errors as soon as you read them (especially the grammatical errors--Ted Woolsey was a very good translator). |

I agree that Ted was awesome.
Quote Figaro, you have three chapters up there right now, right? Try ten chapters. Quote By the way, the script is indeed accurate. Yes, I might need it for some reason, if my ZSNES isn't handy at any particular time of writing. -------------------- Wow. 1,000 posts. I miss you all now that I'm in boarding school! ;_; |
