Quote (Gears @ 17th October 2003 15:17) (Btw, I'll give the Yankees their credit, but I feel no obligation to, since you decided to watch game 7 and thereby crush all my hopes and dreams, and I am never speaking to you ever again.) A'right, so it must be Steve Bartman and me who lost the series for the Cubbies. Oh no, don't blame the players.... don't blame Gonzalez for his error... or give props to the Fish for comin' back. Nope, it's all OUR fault ![]() -------------------- "When I turn the page The corner bends into the perfect dog ear As if the words knew I'd need them again But at the time, I didn't see it." ~"This Ain't a Surfin' Movie" - Minus the Bear |

Gonzalez had the best fielding percentage in the major leagues (only 10 errors all year), and yet somehow the ball just hits and bounces out of his glove. Things like that just don't happen to Gonzalez. However, things like that always happen to the Cubs.

Wow, the World Series has been great so far. Looks like the Marlins are going to win game four, evening it up...but I'd better knock on wood, because hey, it looked like Boston was going to win game seven. Although I really hate the Yankees, if it's going to be tied 2-2, I really wish Clemens could've won his last start (meaning Mussina would have to be 0-4, sorry chum). He's an amazing player. What a career.

Hurray! I'd pick the Marlins over the Yanks anyday. Sorry Sabin!

YOu know something though.... I only watched one game of the world series at all. That's because my personal world series was the Yankees vs. Red Sox... and when they beat them and I was able to go to school the next day to see all the little bostonites feel bad, I was on Cloud Nine. So, basically to me, the Yankees winning the world series would've been a bonus... I'm not completely torn up about them not winning.
Besides, Florida had a damn good team too. And they had the defenite momentum going for them which, in baseball, is key to winning. Good job, Fish... who are now 6-0 in career playoff series... -------------------- "When I turn the page The corner bends into the perfect dog ear As if the words knew I'd need them again But at the time, I didn't see it." ~"This Ain't a Surfin' Movie" - Minus the Bear |
