If you think you're bad, go to Korea.  There are DDR gods that live there.  Gods I say.

DDR is a fun game, but I blow big ones at it.  I can do that really easy level where you have like 5 seconds between every arrow >_>  Yeah I never really got into it.  My friends think they're all good at it though.  By this I mean, they aren't good but like to think so.

SECONDED.  The DDR players in Korea are obsessive, to say the least, memorizing every step to every tune to the point that they can work out the whole song without any music, in perfect rhythm.  I kid you not, I actually saw some people practicing it in a room, without a single machine in sight.

As to my personal skills, I only have a limited exposure to the game, since most of my quarters in any arcade are poured straight into the fighters.  From what I've played, it's fun, but I have no idea how the experts manage the harder levels.

At the arcade in our local mall, there is this DDR machine where most of the gamers go to.
The other day, I went there and I saw these short, little kids(couldn't have been more than 10 years old) who were playing it like pros. Which makes me kinda feel bad since I'm twice their height and age and wholly sucked at it when I got on. ^.^;

But these kids were psycho! I don't own any DDR games so I'm not sure what they entail, but one of the kids managed to do a back flip. (He kinda messed up, but it was neat to watch)

Man, I should just buy DDR and the floor pad and use that as a mode of exercise rather than jogging. :-p

I play on easy and do backflips. It puts my friends in stickes...and that's before they've had anything to drink :-D

Blegh...It's fun to go the arcade and pick up the gun nearest to the DDR machine.Whenever someone comes to play DDR,I do my best cowboy impression and 'shoot' the player's legs.

Good lord I love DDR. I like to think I'm good at it, although of course not as good as some of the more obsessive types. Probably because I don't actually own a copy myself, otherwise I might never stop playing. happy.gif Last summer, I would set a side one day a week to go down to the arcade and blow $10 on it. My 'comfort level' right now is around the 8-step difficulty. But my big gripe right now is that our arcade currently has DDR 2 Max, and I don't like that version very much. It's a lot less forgiving than some of the earlier mixes, and practically ALL of my favorite songs are gone!! Aaargh! mad.gif
