First off, I'd like to say I recently signed up to the CoN board. This site is the best for all the SNES FF games, and great Fanfiction stories and art. Keep up the good work guys, I appreciate people who dedicate their time to this stuff. Now as my Topic Title states, ROM Editing is something I've been very interested in as of late. It's been years since I've owned an SNES, and I've owned various Emulators and ROMs for the past four years. And I've read here and there about different programs used to create and edit ROMs for various systems. My question is does anyone know where there is info, downloads, or other sources on programs that can create or edit ROMs. |

Welcome, and please try to use a font that's easier on the eyes please. :p
I think Master Zed has some hacks on his site. -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

First, I'm guessing you just want general knowledge since you specified nothing. That's a very tall order, and I suggest you do research yourself if you go that route. Try romhacking.com and EPR for that. In fact, no matter what, you'll want to click that romhacking.com link. EPR is a toss-up, as the page is really old and contains some outdated data.
Second, if you're hacking FF3 (I'd assume so, since you posted here), the game has virtually been shredded apart, so you're in luck. There are many sites with info on the game which I will reiterate from memory here: Lord J's site (home of FF3usME) Terii Senshi's RPG Page Phantasian Productions The Unoriginal White Sheet (CLICK THIS ONE!) ![]() Mnrogar's den (contains no hacking info, but lots of knowledge on FF3 you won't find anywhere else. A must if you really want to challenge people with a hack) Zophar's Domain (only site I know of with Yousei's FF3Edit at the moment, you want it at least for the FF3info.txt document) However, you still need to learn some basics before a couple of those sites will be of use. If you're willing to put forth some effort and some patience, you should be able to go somewhere just from this post, hopefully.... -------------------- |
