The new forums should be available about as soon as I've finished with this news post.

There are really too many new features to list, but I encourage you to glance over the rules once again, especially towards the end, where we have added some information about the ability to close your own topics.

You should also edit your profile, in case there have been any hiccups importing it, and to reselect your avatar.

Naturally, there may be a few teething problems, of which you may inform us in the troubleshooting forum, provided you can log in and post. If you can't log in, try the lost password link, and if you still can't, shoot me an e-mail (address on the staff page).

Note that if you had registered on the old board, but had not yet validated your registration, your account has been deleted. You're free to reregister on this board, but the old activation codes would not have carried over successfully. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I've used this layout before, and found it very user friendly. I have only been a member for a short time(however I did follow as a guest for a while) but it is good to see improvements coming.

I now feel as though I have more CoNtrol over my account!

Alright, alright, puns will no longer be tolerated in this topic either.

One new feature I do want to mention (since I made it myself) is the improved smiley/bbcode button interaction for Mozilla (and Firebird, NS7, etc) users. It should now work as nicely as in IE: select text and hit the spoiler button to spoiler it, smilies are inserted at the caret position, etc etc. Try it out, good-browser-using pals.

Okay. If you give me ninjas in any way shape or form I'll be happy. This alteration is rather groovadelic, however the text seems rather small as you're typing it in to reply. Do you benevolent CoN folk think you could enlarge it for my eyeballs' sake (I swear it'd be for them; not me).

I tried it, just for you, but it made the post areas all gigantic and probably a bit of a health hazard to small screen resolutions. Sorry.

I made it a bit bigger on the CoN4 skin, though, and it's innately bigger on Digi because it uses Verdana instead of Tahoma, which is chubbier and more readable.
