Please don't use this tip.  It only works in Internet Explorer, and only because of incorrect behaviour on the part of that browser, and it actually makes it much MORE difficult to view the image in a browser which behaves properly. - Tiddles

Here's a tip that might help you: name your files with an extension .txt when you upload them. You can then link them just as you normally would, just using .txt in the image tag here at the forums. You should then be able to direct link them.

I don't know what other servers this works with, but it is worth a try.

Why do kamakazi pilots wear helmets?

When you scan your image, name it with a .jpg or .gif or .png extension. Before you put it online, rename it .txt.

Then, when you post it in the forums, do this:

[IMG]http://www.geocities.com/myaccount/image.txt[/IMG]

That should work.

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif

i guess its ok as long as other people can see it.
