Square Enix announced today that the recent high-definition remasters of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 will be coming to Steam this Thursday, May 12 as a package -- their first (official) PC release.
Like Final Fantasy 9, which was released on Steam last month, these ports will include a all international version content, no-encounter mode, an increased speed option, and an auto-save feature. It is not clear whether the audio drama Final Fantasy X ~Will~, released with the original FFX/X-2 HD package, will be included (but, like, it's on youtube anyhow). This leaves only the first two games and Final Fantasy XII as the main series title without PC ports. (A previous version of this post erroneously listed the games yet to be ported to Windows.) Quote (Spooniest @ 11th May 2016 05:10) Uhhhh...1 and 2 don't have ports yet either? Yeah, I'll take responsibility for that. When I was handing this news off to DP to post yesterday, I was simultaneously talking about how likely it would be for FF1 and FF2 to show up as well, since the mobile app ports have been the basis for a lot of the Windows versions recently. I think DP just misread me on the way to the post button. ![]() -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |
