I take a "What Character are You" quiz for the sake of choosing a CoN avatar. My friend picked a VIII quiz since I have never really played VIII, meaning there's no chance my answers can be biased.
And I ended up with a 83% rating for Seifer Almasy.
Now, I don't know anything about Seifer except he was a huge pain in Kingdom Hearts.
So how well do you think the comparison matches up? Those of you who know me, anyway... Or... If you don't? I don't know. Do what you will, I guess.

Not so much the Ellone part but the closeness of my top 2 results. Also, Kiros was 3rd. Meh.

I would guess it's because each of those characters are more light-hearted and energetic or optimistic. I don't know how energetic I am, but I am light-hearted and optimistic. Each of those characters are probably my favorite overall from the cast. They're especially necessary since Squall is meant to have a reserved personality, and yet so much of the game is focused on him.

They needed a team of characters to counter-balance Squall's ellipses!

I still don't really know anything about Seifer except what they give you in Kingdom Hearts, which was that he was a jerk. But I'm not quick to trust KH on character depictions, mainly because of how Setzer was portrayed... :S

They didn't get Setzer right, but they weren't that far off with Seifer.

So, Seifer is more or less accurate? Well... Given that, I'd say it would make sense if I wasn't so small. I'd probably be more of a jerk if I had the size to back it up.

1. Seifer 100%. How about that. My assumption here is that Seifer is really emotional? I haven't played FF8 either.

2. Edea 84 %.

3. Fuujin 84%. Now if I remember correctly who Fuujin is, this is actually quite amusing.

And all the other girls ended up right at the bottom. Figures. 0% resemblance to Quistis.

I wouldn't call Seifer emotional. He is more brash and headstrong. He is romantic, not in the mushy mushy sense, but in the sense that he has a romantic (possibly meaning/referencing the Romantic period of Europe and chivalry/Knighthood) view of the world in which he lives.

Romantic:

2. of, characterized by, or suggestive of an idealized view of reality.

Squall is emotional, often bottling up his emotions and finally having emotional outbursts. Seifer is very straightforward in his actions and emotions. Acting on impulse and ideals or beliefs before emotionally responding to the situation.

Yes, headstrong and brash are the right words for him. But I think that he's very emotional because of that. He acts on his jealousy in ways that are unhindered by logic.

Hm... I'm not really Christian, but I can see why being Christian would make someone less of a jerk (in theory anyway. I have extremely Christian relatives, who are rather unkind about their religion. I've dubbed them the "Jesus Police" since a young age.)
I can't remember if I've mentioned this yet, but if I were 6'2 and weighed twice what I do now, I'd probably be a bigger jerk than I already am. ^^"

Hm... I'm not really Christian, but I can see why being Christian would make someone less of a jerk (in theory anyway. I have extremely Christian relatives, who are rather unkind about their religion. I've dubbed them the "Jesus Police" since a young age.)

The Bible does pretty much expressly say to be kind and loving like 15 gajillion times. It even says that love is the "first and greatest commandment". It really annoys me when Christians do that, misrepresenting like that.

But that's a bit off topic.

I once took a Facebook quiz that used characters from quite a few games (I'm assuming all of them to date, I just don't know how old the quiz is). The first time I took it, it gave me Sephiroth; the second time a few months later, I got Kefka.... it's amazing the number of times these quizzes give me villains. It's glitching like crazy right now, though, and I can't get it to load properly, so I took this one.

The one question that confused me was #6; if such a thing were to happen, I just wouldn't interfere, knowing it was for the greater good. I answered "I'd do that for anyone", just because the sentiment is the closest (if I'd do it for anyone, that means I'd do it for the people my significant other was trying to save, even if it meant giving him up). My result was Blonde Bombshell: "Its hard to shut you up sometimes but you can make those around you laugh and entertained. That makes you the most like Rikku. Not only do you have a bubbly attitude and can make any disaster into a success, you are also very good at fixing things. Whether it be mechanical, computerized or just trying to figure out how to use the tv remote. And you never need to read the directions. You know who you are and you dont' let anyone tell you otherwise. And you are very loyal to your friends.But you know what its like to be an outcast, and you dont take kindly to disrespect. So watch out that your mouth doesn't get you into trouble." Okay so the quiz nailed it

For the FF8 quiz, I don't understand the "priority" markers so I guessed and winged it. Ended up with a 100% match for Fujin. Kiros and Ward were the next closest at 84% and 77%. Um, OK. I'll invoke the "I don't know what I'm doing" clause.

Did the one that Raven linked for giggles. Top match is an 81% match with Ashe. Didn't look at the others here. I feel this is a more accurate outcome as I had no confusion over the questions.

On the same site, I searched out a Touhou character quiz. Top 3 came up 84% Reisen with Reimu and Marisa tied at 70%.

Raven's quiz gave me Squall at 84%:

Whilst the quiz did seem to be pretty poor in its questions, which honestly seemed quite badly created all round, it's somehow pulled a nailed on description of me out its ass. Unbelievable.

Having said that, some of my lower hits seemed utter nonsense - flower girl, sporty, blonde bombshell? Give over.
