I posted earlier today about Type-0 being localized, and how Square Enix sneaked that news into the end of their announcement trailer for Final Fantasy Agito. None of us were aware, though, that the Type-0 news there was actually not the big one of the day: the company just announced that this game, AWOL for so long, will actually appear on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
The new version will be in HD, of course, but absolutely no other details have been released, including whether the original handheld version will be localized now, or not. Naturally, this is causing some distress among some who clamored for the original game to be released, as they seem to feel betrayed by the fact that the game they asked for will not be on a console they currently own. This has been a whirlwind first day of E3, so don't be surprised if more details are yet to emerge! Edited to add: OK, so I probably should have figured this out from the first post. I guess I was really too quick on the trigger, eh? Source: Square Enix |

I saw that about Type 0! Hrm, the reasons for me to give in and get a PS4 just seem to keep growing...
Been fun thus far following along! Lots of good stuff for FFXIV, and the KH 2.5 HD Remix and Theatrhythm segments were quite interesting, even though those games don't hold much interest for me. If this is what they're dropping the first day, makes me wonder what they're holding onto for later! ETA: KH 2.5 HD Remix JP-language interview segment ongoing right now. For the curious, the content's basically the same as the preceding EN-interview, though presented in Japanese, so some of the questions are framed a bit differently, and they have an additional member of the staff answering questions as well. But the answers are overwhelmingly the same, right down to talking about the programmer who goes by 'Nasu' (Eggplant) and such. and it's the same questions, from the same international mix of fans. If they up and surprise me, I'll edit again with what seemed to be different. ![]() ETA 2.0: Nope, not much different. The second speaker mostly concurred, and only added a few "I don't knows" and let us all know that she likes Dumbo. So if you saw it in English, you didn't miss anything.
