Theatrhythm: Curtain Call was released in Japan about a month ago, and is coming to the West later this year (no specifics on the date just yet). Square Enix, though, has confirmed the list of 127 new songs we'll see for the sequel, with 109 being part of the initial game purchase. In addition, every song but one from the original game, both on-cart and DLC, will also be available to Curtain Call.

The most interesting thing about this news is that the game will be branching out beyond the core numbered series this time around. Final Fantasy Tactics, Mystic Quest, Crisis Core, Advent Children, SaGa, Dissidia, and even more Square games will have available tracks at launch - of course, even more games and tracks are likely to appear down the road as future DLC.

Check out the full list below and let us know what you think is missing in the comments.

I've never played Theatrhythm, but I would still love to hear Einhänder music make it into the game.

New Theatrhythm! That's exciting and such! I've only done the demo of the first (though definitely want to go back and buy it), but with more expanded music (largely excited about Tactics and the new stuff from FFXIV: RR). I do wish they'd bust out some Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana tracks, but hey, we'll see what's to come down the line. "Roses of May" is going to be a swell addition, too, in my mind from the stuff we all know and love.

Anyhow, music is awesome. Final Fantasy music is awesome. And honestly, with these beat/rhythm games I think it's a really interesting way to listen to music. It really forces you to focus on what the music is doing. I want to say that, perhaps, these games can actually help further their appreciation of music. The visual cues, to help visualize what the musical nuances are doing, could actually do that sorta' thing.

Anyways, thoughts, and such.

You might as well wait to get the new one, from what I'm reading, at least if you're playing it on a 3DS. It seems like the new one will include all the tracks from the first - at least the ones that aren't DLC.

Hmm... Safe bet, then... If only I knew more folks with 3DS' who liked Final Fantasy... I'd totally borrow it from then, were that the case...

Still need to get through Bravely Default as it is. TOO MUCH TO PLAY!

But yeah, the mixes were nice, so I assume it'll be more of the same here.

Games on the Go
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy: Four Warriors of Light
Baldur's Gate

Too much to play, so little time!
