I like reading fiction, fantasy stories about magic and in general, things that you dream of doing, but couldn't in a million years be possible. So, out of interest, does anyone know a fantastic series of books?
I am currently reading Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy, it's really good, and i'm enjoying it alot. I have also read the percy jackson series, that is a particular faveourite, along with The hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. -------------------- Excuse me? If you like sense of humour in the books you read I suggest tbe Discworld series. It has some great fantasy elements and likeable funny characters.

Now I need to post it here. I'm referring to what you mean by good? If the editing is correct why is the content bad?

Viking Quest. It is not fantasy, and it is a tad girly, but it is a really good series of books which I have read twice already (the second time was not all in one place, or in order), and I may read it again now. Oh, also: it talks about religion a lot. It is quite an enjoyable read, though.

I second the Discworld series if you like some comedy as well as a good story and interesting characters, over 30 books to get through as well so it will keep you busy.
If you want something a bit more epic but also original and characters you really care about, my most highly recommended book series so far would be the Robin Hobb books in this order: The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb (fantasy) Assassin's Apprentice Royal Assassin Assassin's Quest The Liveship Traders Trilogy by Robin Hobb (fantasy) Ship of Magic The Mad Ship Ship of Destiny The Tawny Man Trilogy by Robin Hobb (fantasy) Fool's Errand The Golden Fool Fool's Fate You won't regret it, so so good. -------------------- 'Let that be a lesson to all oppressive vegetable sellers.' |

You should investigate this topic: http://www.cavesofnarshe.com/forums/ipb/in...?showtopic=7447 . Yes, you have to do more legwork on your own but you won't have to waste your time if people aren't giving you what you expect.
