yes it actually is true after so many years they are finnally bringing back the mitochondrial mutants. I dont know about the rest of you but i need to get a psp for this one. the name of it will be (drum roll plz) PARASITE EVE THE 3RD BIRTHDAY. They have already released some wallpapers. The game was orriginally announced in a game mag when the interviewer asked a square enix high up what different game series they would like to bring back to life? p.e was 1. has anyone heard more info??

Why is it that rpg's are now a dying breed?

Yeah, there was a bit of info that came from E3 about the game. The name isn't going to be "Parasite Eve The 3rd Birthday," last I heard - it's not going to use the Parasite Eve name at all. Additionally, it appears to be a third-person, cover shooter, so other than the fact that it will have Aya Brea, it's not looking like a PE game at all to me.

I'm not sure if any of your information is new or not, as I haven't heard about any of this game magazine interview. However, none of it really sounds new to me, and there's been more than just a few wallpapers released about the game.

I'm sad because it doesn't look like an rpg anymore.

I'm going to miss being able to modify my weapons and add effects,i really did like parasite eve alot,and i never even looked to see if it was square.

Or maybe i did and didn't remember.

I own and have completed both PE and PE2 so will be looking forward to that surely.
Never knew before a second ago now.

After an hour of pure investigation i have come to realize i was sadly wrong thx r51 for bringing this to my attention it will be a 3rd person shooter in the same aiming style as dead space and R.E5 though there still is hope for greatness as a few of the main creators of p.e 1n2 are on the project. and as for the title it is left undecided though i dont know how the 3rd birthday would make sense. i just hope my childhood fave dont become another clone shooter.

Is it true about the story that aya brea is submissive and weak during the whole game until she gets herself back?

Is there any horror at all? What about the upgrading system? is that completely gone?
