Who do you think should voice the main cast of FFVI? Excluding Terra, and Kefka since they already have Natalie Lander, and Dave Wittenberg providing there voices.

Nothing in the history of showbusiness (and therefore, gaming) says they have to pick up the options of previously used VAs. Where did you get that idea?

Jennifer Hale and Mark Hammil would be much better choices.

He probably got that idea from the fact that that is what Square Enix does, in addition to their in fact being a huge amount of history to suggest that. If ever possible, why wouldn't you want to have the consistency?

It won't be because any good game they have, they are unwilling to remake into something worthwhile. Look at FF6 Advance and Chrono Trigger on the DS. You really think they'd put any real effort into pleasing the gamers? They took down CT Reborn or whatever without a second thought. I bet they wouldn't have used their remake even if it were free. As long as they don't make those big numbers appear, it isn't worth spending the extra money to make the game even better. Instead, they just add in 2 more hours of content and call it good.

Union scale is roughly $800 flat, and $400 an hour, according to my hastily-done research. If you paid each of the 18 actors $800 up front, then allocated 12 hours of studio time for each, that'd put you at about $100k. OF COURSE, these are well known professionals, and some are even international superstars, so I'd conservatively expect that to triple. But I can't say for sure.

Realistically, I'd guess about $10 million. The next question in my mind is, since games cost around $20 million on a good day, could you realistically make a proper remake of FFVI for the other $10 million?

I am not very good with American actors even though I am American, because I mostly watch British TV. Okay, I mostly watch Doctor Who. But I do think that Scott Menville would make a good Locke; and if anyone can do GoGo, it is Tara Strong.
