Let's see, released in 2012... SD Gundam G Generation Overworld was great... Borderlands 2 was pretty fun.. Pkmn Black 2 as well... Can't think of many more games released this year :/ Maybe I should look up a list.

I enjoyed Pokemon Black and White 2, and Assassin's Creed III, but other than them I haven't played enough 2012 games to make a list. That's because I normally go out and play games much later after they've been released a while. But I'll use this thread to make my argument that Mass Effect 3 is the game of the year. I think that, more than any other current-gen series ME has held the video game storytelling torch that the Square JRPGs passed. Like the other two games it has excellent writing, voice acting, atmosphere, but it adds a near-constant barrage of great moments that have built throughout the trilogy, along with an improved gameplay system and multiplayer. I think it's a shame that the ending controversy has perpetuated the way it has, because the game was nearly perfect even if you didn't like the ending. I personally think people's expectations were too high. But the game and the series exceeded mine.
