Hello everybody. First a confession - despite my years of gaming I am really quite new to the world of old school FF gaming. I've usually played first person RPGs so the change to party oriented, 3rd person gaming is really interesting. Anyway glad to be here, and I hope to absorb as much knowledge and as many tips as your good selves are willing to share. Thanks to all involved for a great site.

Feel free to resurrect any topics or ask any questions that interest you; if there's one thing we love doing here, it's re-discussing aspects of the good ol' FF games! (And if there's a second thing we love doing here, it's debating the various merits/shortcomings of whatever happens to be the most recent entry in the series

Just when I think that Final Fantasy is an ubiquitous game title that everyone's mom and grandma has played, someone pops up XD

I was a big fan of the Sega Megadrive (Genesis) back in the day, so I missed out on the opportunity to play the old school FF games first time round, and by the time the games were released on the PS1 I was more interested in the various FIFA games, as well as the Tekken series. It's only been the last few months where I've been into FF, having bought an old copy of FF7 from a friend of mine.
