Everyone seems to think that resident evil has the coolest monster but I don't think so. The most annoying yet favorite monster I ever fought was the Omega Pirate from Metriod Prime. He was a major bitch. Who do you think is/was the biggest monster around?

Ugh-zan from Serious Sam was pretty horrible, IMO. He took us forever to figure out.

I think Lavos was a great monster, he basically took power from the earth for 65 million years until he was strong enough to take it over.
The last boss from Parasite Eve (that weird green thing, haven't played in a long time) was annoying to beat. You had to run away because if it caught you, instant death. I remember fighting it about 6 times before finally escaping. -------------------- Lou: There's a couple of guys fighting down at the aquarium, Chief. Wiggum: Do they still sell those frozen bananas? Lou: I think so. Wiggum: Let's roll. |

But you could just swap sides with him and push him down a hole of doom! Just like the fat guy. Unless you're talking about the bizarre blue-faced Jaffar of the SNES version, or about any of those other console ports with such rubbish controls that I couldn't so much as beat the first guard. The scariest enemy I faced was the humble Tonberry, in the Battle Square in FF7. It gave me a real scare at the time. Here's roughly how it went: "Oh, what does this enemy do?" "Heh... it's just walking towards me." "You're rubbish! I'm gonna kill you good." "...ack" *turns off PC* There's something just nicely creepy about the li'l green guys. |

He certainly wins for the "biggest" part of the thread title. Good Lord, we came up to about midway up his foot. Also, I'll share a shudder for the final bosses of PE. Man, what creepy action that was. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? The Mother Brain, from Metroid for the NES. One of my favorite games. After fighting your way all throughout this large and complicated maze of a planet, you come across the most horrible mess of biological nonsence and Spagetti O's the eight bit universe has ever seen. Even with your ten energy tanks and three-hundred missles, this thing (which doesn't even move or attack) can still waste you.

I haven't played a lot of RPGs with monsters as enemies in a while I would have to say the biggest baddest would be Seymour from FFX. I consider him a monster because he certainly isn't human. He was a pain. Thank goodness for summons.
Non-monster (I know no one asked for it but I'm putting it anyway) would be Yuber from Suikoden III. He was pretty diffucult. You really had to work out a strategy to kill him. -------------------- Elena Indurain Currently Playing: Suikoden II |

I would have to say the Gargoyle from Koudelka. This thing was impossible, the only way I could find to hurt the thing was to reflect it's own attack back at it. Of course while it did 8-9000 you it did like 3-400 to him and he has 100,000+ HP. Never did kill that guy.
The final boss from PE has to get a vote too. -------------------- "Son of a submariner" Â Â Â Â Â -Kefka |

Ew, the final boss of Parasite Eve was just gross...and incredibly cheap once you beat it. Stupid instant-death-touch maze place...that was really lame.

I would say my favortie boss fight would be either Dark Falz in PSO (because I love the ending song... Emo and Techno ahhhhh...) or the two witches in Legend of Zelda: OT that was back when my friend was better at every type of game at me except racing games and Zombies ate my Neighbors. SO anyways what happened was he couldn't figure out how to beat them and after like 3 times he finally get a go and I beat them like that. They were just pathetic. I felt so proud and my friend was so pissed (he's the kind that just had to be the best).
