When I battle Kefka in the final, somehow I always imagine that the three statue things (Girl, tiger, sleep etc.) before him are the "Monument of Non-existance" as Kefka talks about before you challenge him. If you think about it, the word "monument" fits well on three statues. And "Non-existance" as well, since there are no names or anything in the "enemy name box", and you have to hit various spots on the statues, plus that they are very bizarre.

I've been under the same exact assumption. Â I didn't have to contemplate about it, it seemed obvious. Â A bunch of bodies and whatevers fused together making their identities inapplicable sounds like life turned into one heck of a monument of non-existence. Â I also was suspicious that the people in it were dead and functioning on some spell from Kefka. Â One even has her head plunged into the rock and metal and junk of the monument.

The "monument to non-existance" is a metaphor, IMO. He's not referring to actually building a statue that commemorates death - he's referring to making the entire world a wasteland, and killing off all life so that the entire world he rules is the monument.

I agree. If I correctly remember it, he actually says "I will create a monument to non-existence". To me, it always seemed that he would build it (or accomplished it) when every life is no more. |

Maybe this is over-analyzing, but wouldn't you think that the "monument" to non-existence would be non-existent? Wouldn't having something that exist symbolize non-existence be an oxymoron? Maybe that is just a clue to let players know Kefka's psycho.

I know that. What I meant was that it is fun to think in that way, having all those statues as a monument, and then its master. ![]() -------------------- People say I'm a slow learner, but I type fast! |
