Well going for a more serious attempt at this. Basically explained: If you saved for example on the Floating Continent and forgot to save up to the Deathgaze fight or some kind of random encounter in the World of Ruin and your killed, whatever level(s) you gained are saved from when you died to your last save point.
I.E.: Celes is level 25 on the Floating Continent and you get her to level 30 and she dies. When you come back to your save point and check your menu it will show Celes is level 30 now ![]() Anyways I figured I'd give this a go with Celes because as most know Possible spoilers: highlight to view when you find your friends around the world they have whatever level Celes has At any rate Celes is lvl 53 at the beginning of the World of Ruin. Saved from there and gonna work as fast as I can to get the Growth/Exp Egg and then off to level celes as fats to 99 as I can. Anyone else going to try this or have tried this before? -------------------- Kefka's Message of the week: Get off your couch noobs and get my new game Dissidia 012 |

If I remember correctly you don't keep esper stat bonuses if you die like that, though.
What's the point of doing this over leveling normally, anyway? You're still leveling either way, on one you're just shoehorning in a game over for some reason. I'm not really too worried about it. It's more of just an experiment to see what everyones stats would be if you obtained them at lvl 99.
I wanted it to be a good time saver since its a pain to level GoGo and Umaro in my opinion -------------------- Kefka's Message of the week: Get off your couch noobs and get my new game Dissidia 012 |

You could power level to 99 without dying and then just, y'know, recruit them when you're 99. I don't really see any validity in this, suffice to say you must be exceptionally bored.

Sounds like fun, go for it, man! One thing I enjoy is grinding to a high level and then just powering through places. This would be fun too 'cause you encounter higher level monsters in the WoR which help save grinding time, then go back and power through the earlier stuff.

But yeah. I myself found some enemies at the beginning of WoR to be a bit pain in the butt. So I wanted to also be prepared just in case I came across Ol Deathwing or Maybe even go for the 3 man Kefka Assualt. Either way hey its something that makes the game more interesting. With that being said I did say this was the GBA version I'm currently playing so I had to be somewhat prepared against the bonus stuff -------------------- Kefka's Message of the week: Get off your couch noobs and get my new game Dissidia 012 |
