FF2/4's final boss Zeromus (agreeing with GMH) to me was easy all I did was use Bahamut and Cure4 and attack and I wasn't past 6000 and I beat him easily. Hell, I hadn't even learned Meteo with Rydia yet.

I've found the three tiers leading up to Kefka on FFVI the hardest of the FFs I beat which doesn't include NES FFs and FFX.

Ugh i'd say that Necron was the hardest, damned grand cross/ Nuetron ring combo, i've never lost to him though, amarant is a life saver. X would have to be the easiest, maybe cos i thought it would be so hard i spent 2 weeks levelling up in the omega ruins before fighting BFA. I killed him in 1 hit in the first form and one tornado in the next. YY is a pushover, all he did was heal? bizzare i heard he kills you easy

I picked Safer Sephiroth because for one, I never bothered with some of the aforementioned "cheap" tactics like KOTR. As such, you could be fighting him, thinking you're doing just dandy, and suddenly he pulls something out of his one-winged ass that completely screws you. The Supernova's status ailments were unholy.

And easiest would have to be Final Kefka. I remember, the first time I beat him, UMARO killed him. To put that into perspective, the game beat itself.

I love final fantasy, but all the bosses are really easy if you get all the secret equipment. The hardest boss I have ever fought is not in final fantasy, but in another SquareSoft game. The game is called Xenogears. The boss final boss is practically invincible if you don't take out his little buddies floating around him first. This boss is practically invincible.

The bosses name is deus and in the game they actually compare him to God.

there was a hard ff boss???

seriously though, I have admittedly never gotten knights of the round, and often miss most of the good stuff my first time through any game, nor do I level up insanely.. sadly I still found few bosses challenging... the few I did find challenging were Chaos, Zeromus and Neo-Ex-Death (I think that's the right form of Ex-Death, never can remember Neo this, Bizzaro that, whatever, the last Ex-Death you fight)

Not enough of you have played to the end of Final Fantasy II. 8000 points of damage to your party, and how many players of Final Fantasy II actually train their party to get that much HP? Not many. Instant death.

And there's no lame Final Attack + Phoenix to save your bum in this one, kids.

My hardest was FFX.But i had some factors playing against me. First i had to battle every summon in the game including the side ones that i spent hours beefing up.Secondly, since i had heavely depended on my summons, i didnt think twice to restoke on potions of such.Yuna was the only one that knew cure and i had no potions, but everytime i brought her out, they felt it nesesery to attack her, and she would die one hit.

Of course poor preperation can make any battle a tough one.

Zeromus from IV was the hardest since the only thing that did high damage was ragnarok sword which did 6000-9999 damage each single attack, it was unlike later games particularily VII VIII where you have omni-slash, and lionheart dealing hard damage
for example if you add up lionhearts damage it does around 64,000-86,000

He wasn't a final boss, but Seymore flux owned me on Gagazet more times than I'd like to recall in FFX.

Well I think that Kefka (including the statues, though) is rather tough... think about it, it really is one fight.

I don't remember FFIV being all that hard, but I've only played FF2US.

the hardest boss for me was Apollo in FF Legends II....Grr. I remember a little kid, I never beat that guy, i'd play the same save once in a while over the years. finally took him out a few years ago. he wasn't the FINAL boss

I voted for FFIV, but I haven't played through that game more than a couple of times long ago so I might find the boss to be quite easier if I played it today.

It wasn't a FF game, but I found SMRPG's boss to be quite challenging before I learned about all the secret equipment.

I don't mean to be a griper, but this is the Squenix games forum. There should be something in the title having to do with this bein' solely for FF games.

Since I haven't ever beaten an FF game (although I'm very close), I'd have to go with 1stclass. SMRPG's final boss Smithy was hard.

Even though its been stated endlessly, Zeromous is one bad mother. Only FF boss I've ever had tremendous difficulty with. Neo Exdeath was a pain, but not as bad as Zeromous.

For all you naysayers out there, FFIV is ALOT harder than FF2US. I don't recall any difficulty ever in FF2US, but I actually had to take breaks from FFIV because the battles were ridiculous. Even on the First Strike battles, the monsters move first, and my levels were not too low.

On a side note, I think Chaos from FF1 was a pretty challenging boss. I didn't use any rigged combos or anything, and found him to be a neat boss, even though he was a rather vauge villain. And I was tremendously dissapointed in Kefka at the end of FFVI. Best FF villain ever, shitcans the world, has the power of a God and can vaporize any town he wants and...some thing like 60,000 HP. And the last boss in FFX

almost made me angry. Come on, Auron killed him in 1 hit with his final limit break attack. I felt ripped off.

I've only finished two of the games (FF and FF7), and they had to have been the easiest end bosses I've ever fought (besides maybe Daos from Lufia 2). I killed Chaos in THREE TURNS. My party was Knight, Master, White Wizard, Black Wizard. They were around level 36. I had Black Wizard cast NUKE, White Wizard cast FAST on everyone (starting with my Master), Master attack, and Knight attack. He was down in three turns. With the FF7, I can't remember exactly how I did that one. But I did kill each of them on my first try.

I got final fantasy VII when it first came out. I didn't beat it until well after I beat 10. Keep in mind, it was my first Final Fantasy game and 4th RPG (Dragon Warrior 1, 2, and 3)

I'm surprised nobody voted for Dark Cloud of Final Fantasy III (the real III, not VI). She's always been the bane of my existence. I can never manage to beat her with any of my party members in good shape.

Well, that's the only FF game that we haven't gotten over here in some form or another. Unless you imported or emulated it, you couldn't have played it.

I'd have to say FFIV's as well. Of course, when I first fought him I didn't have much experience with RPGs and was fighting him on the US version.

Now that I'm playing through the Chronicles version of FFIV...I dread having to fight him.

The hardest final boss (to me) was the in hardest of the games: FFIV. Your best attacks against Zeromus', a good example of what a final boss should be like.

The easiest would be a tie between VII and X. I beat VII on level 40 with KotR and omnislash, and I killed the final boss in X with 1 overdrive from Wakka. Pathetic. I think it's sad when games have several bosses who are many times harder than the final boss, whether it's a secert boss (emerald weapon, ozma) or just a normal boss (3rd tier in FFVI final fight, Seymour flux). Isn't the last boss you ever fight supposed to be the hardest?
