Uhm...Ya know the gengi gloves drop them when you max their level and turn them back into items. Got my first that way since I couldnt handle the constant Turtle killing gah theyre such a pain in the arse.
Anyways you can get like three of them when you break down a maxed out kains lance. But Fangs...debilitating weapon I believe has to be what was used to create the Kains lance. Got all my ultimates from that method -------------------- Kefka's Message of the week: Get off your couch noobs and get my new game Dissidia 012 |

But Fangs...debilitating weapon I believe has to be what was used to create the Kains lance. Got all my ultimates from that method The main issue with this method is that there are only 3 Genji Gloves in the game, so some people may not want to use one to get an item that can be gotten elsewhere. Also, maxing weapons takes a lot of gil, and most people get more than enough traps from farming turtles before they get enough platinum ingots to fund the treasure hunter trophy/achievement so it ends up being a waste of money to get traps from dismantling weapons. Of course this isn't a concern for people who don't care about rare items/aren't planning on going for treasure hunter and just want ultimate weapons, but I thought I'd mention it in case those things do matter to anyone here. -------------------- FF games completed: I (psp), II (psp), III (DS), IV (psp), V (GBA), VI (GBA), VII, VIII, IX, X, XI: Nations-Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, XII, XIII, XIV, XV. I read on a website, that i would get the best money by equipping a genji glove on fang while also wielding her best weapon, and killing sacrifices for perfumes. I heard that you could get about 600-800k an hour, while turtles could wield about 500k an hour.Anyone able to comfirm this? I am not really able to drop the turtles with ease yet,but i benefit from killing them, because i can just save before fighting, and if they don't drop i reset till they drop something. The problem with this method,is that i must rely on death, and death spell isn't very realiable.I heard from several sites on google, that it is better to wait till you get the 5th crystagen,so you can kill them a lot faster. I actually can see why they would say this, because those guys can pretty much 1 shot me with ease.Honestly:I think its cheaper and faster to farm the trapohezedrons,as ilovemombas said.If you can kill them and get something,at least you can still get an ingot. I plan to get rare items mombas.Right now,my main concern is getting max weapon level for all 6 characters, then i will work on the best hp and str and magic power items. I want to have those kaiser gloves to increase my strength, but i want to get everyone's best weapon. Would having max crystagen and lvl 3 weapon for barthandelus be overpowered? I am looking to try and be as overpowered as possible against him. -------------------- We are stardust. Our bodies are made from the guts of exploding stars. Neil Degrasse Tyson. |

I am looking to try and be as overpowered as possible against him. First off: I should have specified. Right now what I'm doing is treasure hunter. I'm just trying to get the items, and the only two who I may need genji gloves are against mission 51: atticus, and the final mission. Of course having all the elixers you can get, the final boss with poison and lots of summons will be easy. Secondly: Getting Maxed out Crystalliums will be a good benefit for fighting the turtles. The super strength, magic, and HP will be a big help. Thirdly: Oh how much I will return a hard beating to Barthedulus when I max out my final weapons and everything. He needs a good old fashion beatdown -------------------- Kefka's Message of the week: Get off your couch noobs and get my new game Dissidia 012 |

I've read about the sacrifices at the beginning of chapter 13 being the best place to farm money, but unfortunately they lose effectiveness in the post game since they don't respawn as fast as they do during the story.
I waited until the post game to do my farming, so I never got to try the sacrifice method. In my opinion, it's best to stick with turtles as long as you still need traps so you can work on getting both money and traps at the same time. The last level of the crystarium definitely makes farming a lot easier, as your characters get major stat boosts. With those and some decent equipment it becomes easy to kill the turtles without relying on getting lucky with death or needing a summon to disable the legs, which makes things more efficient. Maxed out weapons will certainly make Bart easier, I beat the game fine with tier 1 weapons. In all honesty, I've only ever maxed out 1 tier 3 weapon (Fang's) to make farming more efficient, the others I only got to tier 3 in order to get the Treasure Hunter trophy then didn't bother investing money in maxing them out. Might want to consider just finishing the game now if you're getting near the CP cap (999,999 CP?) so you can get the last Crystarium level unlocked.
Farming turtles is a great way to max out your characters stats and abilities, especially if you have the Growth Egg, but any CP you earn over the cap will end up going to waste. -------------------- FF games completed: I (psp), II (psp), III (DS), IV (psp), V (GBA), VI (GBA), VII, VIII, IX, X, XI: Nations-Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, XII, XIII, XIV, XV. I already have 999.999 cp.
Thing is:I am trying to get everybody's final weapon of tier 3,but it takes longer to get it than it does to get gil in this game, and until you get strong enough,it is simply inneficient.Even with everything maxed out,it takes forever. -------------------- We are stardust. Our bodies are made from the guts of exploding stars. But you should still attempt to beat barthandelus first. you can always refight the last three bosses wheneve ryou wnat after you beat the game. It would be great practice to see how you've improved sinc eyour last fight with him

The only reason i haven't done it yet,is to take advantage of the so called perfume gil trick.I hear that its the best place for gil in the game.
